7.5. That was a dark day :(
#neverforget #neverforgive
Lol Sweetfx and reshade aren't substitutes for HDR you donut.
X version clearly looks best. I can't even understand the subtitles on those other versions.
Thanks!
Yup. I have a 7.1.4 Atmos setup. Pain in the balls to set up, but worth it imo.
Atmos for headsets is pretty good too. MS should be commended on that, they have taken a very consumer friendly approach to virtual surround (in contrast to the typical licensed headsets ripoff).
10/10? Yes, it is about time we got a second $750,000 documentry ;)
@Ultranova I don't care for PUBG one bit, but I don't see why you think every game needs single player and a story in order to score well in reviews.
More like saying "I'm a car enthusiast, but I can't afford a Lambo"
"Enthusiast" isn't a statement of wealth.
Who'd have guessed Yumi76 couldn't work out a percentage correctly? He usually comes across as being so intelligent while he campaigns for his favourite console across N4G articles.
@Eonjay This is a community of enthusiasts, and a comparison of a game running on hardware that is very specifically targeted at people that do care about the quality of graphics. I don't really see why you feel the need to speak up for the casual audience.
That's like going onto a Hi-fi enthusiast forum and telling everyone you don't need anything better than MP3 files because most casual listeners are happy with them.
:D
Patch notes don't actually say anything about Xbox One X. They say "Improved resolution" for the Xbox One.
The game is listed on Microsoft's own list of enhanced games as "coming soon", with 4k support.
I've never really heard of the game tbh, but a glance at the reviews suggest there are more important things for them to prioritise over enhancements. Looks like it could be quite good, if they keep fixing up the problems.
I think the people currently playing it <1080p at 30fps will be in for a good time, whether they opt for 4k or 60fps.
I'm just being pedantic, but if I asked a random sample of the ~171,000 reviewers that left negative reviews to describe the game in one word, I doubt "fun" would be a prominent response.
It doesn't erase the fact that there are even more people that do like the game, and probably a lot of people that find it fun. Just far from "Everybody who played it".
I reckon they're pissing about on N4G instead of working. Scoundrels.
They have confirmed that HDR is coming for the Pro too. No word on PC though.
A cursory look at the Steam reviews will confirm that no, not everyone that played it will tell you that. Far from it.
(I've just replied to the most interesting comment Wasim has ever contributed).
If someone offered me choice between a Dell PC or 30million Xbox One S consoles, I'd definitely take the 30million consoles.
PC or Xbox? I find the PC headphone implementation quite flakey. A lot of games seem to ignore it and output in stereo. I think it depends on games using the latest audio libraries in Windows, but many don't.
The Xbox implementation is more reliable, I guess because the audio standards are more consistent.
