Best place to play is PC, where everyone has exactly the same frame rate. Yup yup.
Apparently they had some of the tech guys from the Coalition step in to help out. I'm not sure how much they have been able to do to rescue a game stitched together from store-bought assets and textures, but if anyone knows how to get the One and X singing it is surely them.
So would I.
Roblox does it, and that has a huge following. Dreams could definitely take a leaf out of that book if Sony want to take it that way, and I'd be very willing to invest my time into it if there was a shot at remuneration.
I'm glad Sony see the potential in this kind of endeavor, and are willing to put their weight behind it. I still think Microsoft were fools for shutting down Project Spark.
Ear buds are fine for virtual surround. You just need decent ones.
In fact Oculus released a set of reasonably high-end ear buds as an upgrade for their very respectable included headphones.
Accounting is hardly the most sophisticated VR showcase you'll come across, but yeah it is pretty funny imo.
As Neonridr says, definitely one-and-done. Maybe the new PSVR content will attempt to add a little value though (it was a free "experience" on Steam).
The very little I've seen of Detroit (the notorious father and child) definitely featured some signature David Cage dialogue. Hackneyed and clumsy.
I still enjoyed his previous games in spite of the flaws, and I'm really looking forward to Detroit too. It's not like the genre is ripe with games that have more nuanced writing.
Can users monetise their creations in any way?
^^ yeah I went through HDCP 2.2 hell as well.
You don't need to sacrifice the side channels for Atmos. If you're willing to pay a bit more you can support both. I have a Marantz sr6011, and 7.1.4 channel sound. I should think receivers with that kinda support will only get easier to find.
And yes, bass shakers are not for everyone. They do add a lot to things like Destinyor Gears, and the uncharted TLL helicopter scene is just something else entir...
I see your true colors, and yes they are strange indeed.
Lol that's what makes bass shakers good! It's very localised bass, so you can feel it without shaking the whole house. I can feel thumping bass in my couch even when I'm playing at a respectable 2am sound level.
If you like to feel bass then they're well worth a try. It can be a fairly cheap upgrade.
It's definitely a niche requirement. I'm in favour of supporting niche requirements though, it can make all the difference.
The PS4 can't output game audio over HDMI and SP/DIF simultaneously, which is a personal peeve of mine. Mind you, I wouldn't suggest Sony "stay in their lane and stick to making video cameras" or anything dumb like that over it.
I recommend adding a bass shaker or 2 into the mix :)
Facepalm, boy do I feel silly!
It's not a feature I personally use. I can't stand multiplayer chat, it's almost always filled with irritating pricks (on all platforms).
Atmos is a big one that nobody ever seems to mention is these silly comparison articles. I know Atmos home theatre setups are still rare (and might always be), but headphones certainly aren't.
Yes it does :-/
A fine case. But I can't tell who you represent, or whether you are defending or prosecuting. :)
@JackBNimble some of the best athletes I've ever had the privilege of competing against do have that attitude. One of my idols once said to me "if you're not here to win, there is no point being here at all".
Obviously making games isn't a competition and that doesn't apply at all, but I just found your choice of analogy interesting.
@Septic Maybe in the encounters you won the other player had frame rate issues and hitches. Maybe you suck. You probably suck.
