Not even a release window? This is faaaaaaar off. And I guess the no CGI trailer means in-game rendered trailers 🙄 where's the actual gameplay?
Curious to see how many of these games ACTUALLY release next year given Microsoft's track record .....
I think this is cool. That ridiculous stereotype (mostly in the west) that games are for men needs to go.
I remember my first Japanese teacher was obsessed with FF and Dragon Quest and I was shocked 😅 most of my friends only played super casual games but she was casually playing epic, deep RPGs.
Most of my female friends now play many genres (APEX, God of War, etc)....not just cute, girly games 🙄
Just got mine and so far I am really impressed. I owned the original headset and the set-up was a mess. This is a lot more elegant and impressive.
Hope we get more exclusives in the near future but I am also happy just getting very good versions of multiplatform VR titles.
They need to actually release the games and get decent reviews.
$3,499 with a 2 hour wired battery pack? Hard pass 😅
What worries me is the lack of announced single player experiences coming from PS Studios.
I understand they want to introduce Live Games based on new and existing IPs but it seems to be affecting other projects.
How come we know NOTHING about Naughty Dog's PS5 projects? Same with Bend, Blue Point, London Studio, Team Asobi, etc.....
Capcom is really on 🔥 good for them! Now if they only gave us Dino Crisis Remake, a basic port of Viewtiful Joe and maybe a new Onimusha!
Seems like they have so many IPs and they just don't use them 😭
I understand that they want to announce titles closer to release.....however, 3 years into the PS5's lifecycle we have no idea what most of Sony's studios are developing 🤔
It is a really good game. I have spent around 30 hours playing and so far it's been very enjoyable (certainly better than BOTW, but not as groundbreaking as the original).
My one complaint is that the ancient Switch does struggle to keep up. The frame rate can and will collapse during some sections.
Being mainly a PS5 user, the frame rate and the long loading times are annoying. Hopefully Nintendo has a new console in the near future.
Lol.....they can dominate "announcements" just fine. The question is whether they can release good games....
Phil Spencer has had a decade to release decent AAA......so he is responsible for his own mistakes 🤷♂️
That $70Billion purchase was not going to be free. I'm surprised they haven't raised the prices even more.
They tried charging $70 for Redfall but I guess that didn't work 😅
Insomniac is one of the few studios that has earned my complete trust. I will preorder the moment a release date is announced.
One game?
Unless it sees GTA levels of success it won't change anything.
This article pretty much sums it up: more smoke and mirrors.
They don't need new announcements. They need clear release dates and live demos for the games they already announced.
Hellblade 2, Perfect Dark, Fable 2, Everwild.....
We don't need another FMV for an "ambitious" game that will never come out.
The "issues" they have are pretty transparent.
A ) Games don't sell on Xbox for full price.
B ) Microsoft will take most of the money from online titles like FF14.
C ) Microsoft is dead last in Squares biggest markets (Europe and Asia).
It really feels like the launch of Tears of the Kingdom was the perfect time. Many of us were willing to buy new hardware to play a better version of the game.
If that didn't happen, it probably means that new hardware is still months (of not years) away.
When you see games like Jedi Survivor sell 82% on PS5 it makes you wonder if it is worth it for many developers to even bother with an Xbox version.
Microsoft spent a decade telling their fans that "paying" for games was a waste and this is one of the consequences.
I have a PS5 and a Series S. I own at least 20 PS5 titles and I have never bought a single title on Series S 🤷♂️ If "free" on GamePass I grab it.
What are they doing? If one game had potential to release this year was this....
