At this point, I mostly expect more empty promises.
I have a Series S and most of the games that got my attention are probably YEARS away (if they ever actually release).
Perfect Dark, Everwild, State of Decay 3.....and based of how Halo Infinite turned out I'm not particularly hopeful.
It's sad to see the list and it's basically 10 Assassin's Creed games, 10 Far Cry's.....

I mean, I know that the $69 price point was and is controversial. But Sony has delivered with GOW, Horizon 2, Miles Morales, Demons Souls.

So what Microsoft-owned studio is managed well? Other than Turn 10 releasing high quality Forza titles, it seems that most studios they buy just collapse.

It's clear that the franchise has collapsed under 343. Why keep it there? At this point, outsource the next Halo.
I think the bar when it comes to hardware with Nintendo is so ridiculously low that any improvement will feel like a win.
It's sad but finally they Switch is clearly hurting game development. Bayonetta 3 deserved MUCH better hardware.

Many reasons....but one of them being many Xbox owners just don't buy any games and just wait for them to be "free" on Gamepass.
I have a PS5 and a Series S. I've paid full price for over 15 PS5 games and have zero on Series S.
Games like Final Fantasy tend to sell the vast to majority on PS so it's understandable that they would agree to go exclusive for some cash/marketing deals.
At this point, I expect nothing but excuses from Microsoft.....what is the reason now? The Series consoles have been out for 2 years and they just can't compete with Sony's or even Nintendo's output (a company notorious for taking forever to release new titles).
What is their excuse now? Is their management THAT incompetent? I mean, they are spending literal billions of dollars with very little to show for it. What was their last true GOTY contender?

It's likely that every single PS5 and Series X sold out immediately so it all comes down to supply, not really demand/popularity.

I bought a Series S (my first Xbox ever). I can say the ONE exclusive I loved was Sunset Overdrive....basically a PS game published by Microsoft.
On PS I love Uncharted, Ratchet, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us, Demon's Souls, Astrobot, God of War.....the list goes on and on.
Even on Switch: Zelda, Bayonetta, Pikmin.....the hardware is ancient at this point but the high quality games are there.

Demon's Souls, Returnal, Miles Morales, Ratchet and Clank, God of War, Elden Ring....even Astro's Playroom.
Many cross gen games run much better on PS5 (and without those damn loading times) and the Dualsense really makes games much more immersive.
