I live in Tokyo. The weather is disgustingly hot lately. I've mostly been playing Switch because I can play it in bed (where the Air-conditioner is stronger).
This would make it much easier to play games like FF16 🤷♂️
The problem is that many people entered their ecosystem through the cheap, underpowered console🤷♂️
I got a Series S (first Microsoft console I ever own) because a friend works at Microsoft and got me game pass for $4 a month.
I barely play it but I guess I will try Starfield. I've never actually bought a game for the system.
My PS5 remains my main console by a huge margin (and the Switch gets some love every few months).

Well, sadly that crappy port of Red Dead Redemption seems to be selling well 🤷♂️
Developers push it because they get away with it...
As a PSVR2 owner I'm happy with the games available....people expecting an exclusive game similar to The Last Of Us are not being very realistic.
My one complaint is the lack of ports for Astrobot and Blood & Truth.
I just finished FF16 and as a Series S owner, I wonder if it can run it at all (without serious compromises).
It's pretty impossible to compare specially now that Microsoft:
A ) Doesn't share actual sales numbers
B ) Releases games for "free" on GamePass. Not sure how many people would've actually paid for the game.

I'm mostly surprised that we still don't even know what their major studios are up to. Sucker Punch, Naughty Dog (single player), Bluepoint, Team Asobi, Media Molecule....

Lol.....why are people downvoting your comment? This has never really found a big audience and many people don't even know Pikmin. So, it is indeed underrated. I give props to Nintendo / Miyamoto for keeping the series alive.

Well, Microsoft has a tendency to destroy / mismanaging studios they buy 🤷♂️
One of the few games they have that will sell huge numbers no matter what is Call of Duty.....therefore the whole drama.
It has become an excuse to release unfinished/broken games. If they find an audience they are fixed over time (Sea of Thieves), if they don't they are ignored and forgotten (RedFall).
It really has become a dumpster with few AAA / GOTY releases. I think it works for games like Exoprimal (that would be DOA without a "free" release).....
I'm curious but I doubt it.
Sony's Studios constantly share resources (Engine, Motion Capture, etc).....after seeing what 343 did with Halo Infinite and their infamous facial animations, I really wish Microsoft would do the same.
More money and time won't fix a lack of good management.
They know they can release broken games for "free" on GamePass. If it gets traction, they fix it (Sea of Thieves) if it doesn't it gets abandoned (Red Fall).
