Microsoft entered this generation bragging about the power of the Series X and how many Teraflops it could handle.
We are THREE years in......this is one of their titles.....why is it such a mess? It doesn't look particularly impressive and it can't hit 60 fps?
If only they were this commuted to making quality games 🙄
As a PS5/Series S owner myself, I am debating whether I should sell the Series S (if someone will actually buy it).
Now playing the Horizon DLC, getting ready to play Final Fantasy XVI and hopefully Spiderman 2 this year. It seems like huge exclusives are always a month or two away on PS5 and Sony has already delivered incredible PS only experiences.
On Xbox I played Halo Infinite (meh), Sunset Overdrive (loved it) and I guess Psychonauts 2 (also availabl...
I love how Microsoft, a company that has tried (and mostly failed) for more than a decade to have decent exclusives says "just make your own competitor to the most popular shooter in the market".
And let's not forget how they bought Halo, one of the few games that actually had a chance against COD and let it implode.
Maybe they can spend those $70BN over the next 10 years creating their own IPs instead of just trying to monopolize existing o...
In Japan (where I live) it really feels like the system just launched. It is finally available and games Japanese people want to play are almost here. Too bad about inflation and the exchange rate forcing a price increase (same with PSVR2)
Hardware in Japan is getting more expensive and it will be interesting to see how it affects sales (the Quest 2 is 40% more expensive than last year).
By "windows central".
I remember people hated when Sony went proprietary with the vita. I wish the PS5 memory was easier to install (even removing the side panel is a bit tricky).
But in terms of pricing and options, the SSD is the way to go. You can already get great deals for $80 or so.
Mostly curious about performance on Series S....this is starting to look like another Cyber Punk.
He sure talks a lot. Maybe time to....deliver some of the games he has promised for almost a decade?
Lol....like....literally a day after a State of Play?
This would have been a decent announcement 🙄
I think the issue is expectations.
People expect megatons the every 3 months and that's not very sustainable 🤷♂️
Also many developers want to host their own streams (like Konami did with Silent Hill).
America tries to fix everything with salary increases. At this point it seems like making $15 an hour you are still poor. The minimum wage in Tokyo is about $8 and people live well.
Tokyo permanent resident. While it is true that salaries in Japan haven't increased in 30 years, prices have also remained the same and in many cases decreased (deflation has been an issue in Japan for decades). I am fascinated when I visit family and friends in America. They all talk about this insanely high salaries, but everything is insanely expensive so they actually struggle a lot more. Medical care, public transport, housing, etc remain extremely affordable to the average Japanese ...
I think at this point, most people expect this game to be buggy as hell for months if not years after release.
As a huge fan of the series, Bayonetta 3 was a huge disappointment. The new character sucks (personality and gameplay wise) and the story is mediocre at best.
Also the Switch clearly struggles to keep up.
I love how after 20 years in the industry and unlimited funds, Microsoft is still somehow acting like the underdog.
Like.....Halo was their biggest IP and they burned it to the ground. Now we have to spend years pretending that the GOOD game is almost here.
Or buy a PS5+Switch and get good games like....right now.
It honestly looks awesome and much more refined than the first unit.
I love how Microsoft fans see a CG trailer and immediately think they have the Game of the Year 🙄
Most of the games they have announced that look interesting are probably years away (if they are not cancelled).
Scalebound, Crackdown 3, Fable sequels, Halo Infinite, the new Perfect Dark, Everwild.....
I mean, at this point I just trust the yearly Forza to be good.
Did you even read the article? Not sure why Microsoft would need "internal performance reviews" from Sony 🤷♂️
So yes, harassment.
Then Microsoft should make better games. I mean, not a hard concept....
Sadly, seems like most major releases are a mess on PC at launch these days.
