Is this new? Don't you need to pay a minimum of 5$ down at Gamestop? Unless you're not in the USA this shouldn't be odd. Stops people going in and pre-ordering with basically zero intention of picking it up, pretty impossible to arrange stock etc. if you think you have 200 preorders but 199 of those are from people who figured "Eh I'm in and it's free" then you're going to be sat on a bunch of unsold games. Also some places do midnight events if you have ...
At #16.1.1.
I feel that the reviewer should feel free to voice his/her frustrations at the difficulty, the lack of direct instruction etc. but not at the expense of score unless that difficulty is through bugs etc. or the lack of instructions negatively impact the point of the game (e.g. a stealth section of a game giving you no indication of how stealth in that game works might lead to a lower score but a game designed around not being led to the end should not be penalised...
Well personally I thought it might disconnect you from the online servers and transition your game to an offline mode and when you reconnect transition you back online, they could have added it so that you can't suspend when invaded or something (idk I'm no programmer) or just make you auto lose when you suspend out of an invasion to stop retreating.
Should be useful, now if only they'd patch the frame pacing issue...
On topic, when you suspend Bloodborne does it also reconnect to the online servers as I assume your character won't still be in the game waiting to be invaded right? Thinking of that, would it be possible to suspend out of the game if you get invaded and don't feel like it? If so I forsee annoying moments.
+++++MINOR SPOILER FOR SECOND CHECKPOINT++++++++++++
The second checkpoint you get is central Yharnam, you have to fight your way through a bunch of mobs, carefully navigate the central bonfire with some good pulls, get through a wolf/human mob combo section and when you reach the bridge with the two huge werewolves on it there are stairs into a house, go downstairs and out the door and up those stairs past one mob and you push open the gate that is next to the checkpoint at ...
Kind of ambiguous title, the headset on it's own is $34 and the DS4 is $55 so...That's $89 (maybe that's the $91 the site mentioned?) and that's buying them separately each with prime shipping. Why would you want to buy them together for more?
Edit: Just checked the camouflage and that's $50! on Amazon so it should only be $84 if you bought them apart.
I don't...I...where's the /s tag o.O okay I deleted my comment, I'm pretty sure this is a satire comment so well done, almost hit post and looked like a moron, kudos on that.
@NeoGamer
It's not that the online functionality wasn't finished or broken, it's to stop people who get the game before street date being able to access it, the ability will be there, just locked out with the patch being the unlock. Also once the game is being pressed, packaged, and shipped a month before release they're not just sat twiddling their thumbs wondering what to start work on next.
They're still busy tweaking, finding new min...
Hah, tried that and got 50 quattuordecillion years.
Not disagreeing with you over the first two paragraphs but couldn't someone have accessed the PSN through the web store front and bought things on there without triggering the deletion?
Or you buy it for $60 and trade it in for $30, thus only costing you $30. (You can't guarantee that price but it's what I was quoted at a Gamestop + my rewards card). So I'm doing that and I'll be $30 closer to the next game and I look at it as money set aside for gaming as you only get $21 back in cash. Though that would be a $40 game still.
It would be shady of them to do that, they went on record saying that they don't have any plans to release DC onto PS+ any time soon, to then turn around and go 'SURPRISE' after a bunch of people may have bit the bullet and bought the full game knowing they aren't getting it any time soon (despite earlier promises) would be a real kick in the pants.
Well, if I take my 55" TV displaying a 1080p image and cover all of the screen except a 5" x 5" square the picture quality inside that square is still 1080p despite it not displaying every piece of information on the television. If I cover half of the screen does the quality of the image degrade by half? Of course not.
I understand the argument of 280 lines of black reducing effective resolution but the sharpness etc. of the remaining image is the same as if ...
Actually I'd be happy with that to happen, though I would prefer the cost go down to $40 accordingly. I still haven't been able to finish DA:I as I don't have 80 hours to drop onto it, I HAVE however finished TO and enjoyed it.
Enjoyed The Order, Driveclub, Knack was okay, Destiny 200+ hours before I gave it a rest, Watchdogs mediocre. So I wouldn't say everything had failed/dissapointed.
Totally agree, I reckon it took me 10-12 hours (I don't time myself) and I enjoyed most of it, some of the stealth sections were annoying through weird triangle button timing and the lycans were spam x while you shoot to be invincible but on the whole I was happy with my purchase. I'd give it an 8.5/10 I think with points knocked off for shaky stealth mechanics, lack of alternative pathing to objectives, and feeling a bit like a tank while turning.
Graphical fidelity...
I actually managed to finish this game out of my huge backlog! For the same reason I bought the $44 Telltale game package as I can finish each episode in a night.
Actually I think that the plot does have a resolution for that particular arc, obv not going to spoil it but it wrapped up a number of threads and left a number open for a sequel.
The gameplay is nothing unique really as far as a third person cover shooter goes though it handles well, my biggest gripe over the game is the easy as anything lycan fights, you literally cannot lose if you can spam X while also aiming and shooting and the stealth kills (the triangle prompt isn...
I think that they would do them if they were part of a larger pool of missions, so small ones interspersed with the larger quests. Personally I'm still sad that there wasn't an actual quest system put in place to advance the story. Like the missions from the maps would be central story missions but you'd also have missions from patrols that were also story driven but multi part.
Even having something like the WoW events where you donated resources to the war eff...
How come people are missing that a single player save is unusable without being connected to the internet but they were happy to let people start all over when they dropped server support? This means that you don't NEED to be on the internet to play it, is there a reason they couldn't have allowed downloads of the save files and then marked them as offline only so if you chose to do that then you couldn't use it online again?
In this particular case just allow ...
