I don't know, why do they put violence/killing/gore in almost every game? It's escapism and part of the human condition, same as putting relationships/sex in a game.
It seems odd that we accept it in our literature/movies/other media but as soon as a video game attempts to include some honest depictions of relationships we play the "why do they put sex in games?!" card...
Turn on HBO or other cable channels, many shows have some form of fan...
Especially for a game that's decades old and they probably weren't expecting any more money from it to begin with.
Do you mean like how videogames all seem to release on Dec 31 of the next year? Like a placeholder almost?
Hah very true, I just checked the release times between 4 and Golden. The way my life goes I don't mind the wait but I know that that's not the same for everyone, I'm pretty sure that it's going to be a good initial release anyway.
@Silver
I don't agree about the Naruto part, there hasn't been an open world naruto rpg and unless people want a SAO that's a fighting game then I'd say the RPG it is fits the genre (now if it's good or not...) but.
I do agree think that DBZ shouldn't have been included, Xenoverse was generally well received and there are masses of fighting versions, I'm not sure what type of game would be made that needed it on this list.
I don't know, FFVIII wouldn't be described as having 'Space Combat' just because you fought in space as the actual combat was the same (same as FFVII wouldn't have 'Underwater Combat' as the mechanics don't change). If they say aerial combat maybe they do mean somehow that it's different in the air?
I don't know if I wouldn't rather wait for Persona 5 Golden, or the equivalent. I loved P4G but it also had a lot of reworking and new things from what I gather compared to the original (which I never played).
I'm not saying it wouldn't be awesome, but would I rather play a 10 than a 9? I don't know. I can imagine games like FFXV and things like KH3 etc. not really mattering when you buy it as they normally don't release updated versions outside o...
Well optimism generally doesn't require proof or experience in something, disappointment implies trying something and it falling short of what you have wished for. I wouldn't call the Duscae demo any more involved than maybe the reactor section of FFVII and I definitely wouldn't judge FFVII by just that, would you?
Well, whether you liked them or not multiple SAO games have been made/are coming out so it's not really fit for the list.
Great news, pre-ordered and then cancelled and re-pre-ordered with that Amazon cyber monday code so I think I'm getting it for about $32... Can't wait :D
Can you imagine if it followed story arcs for each of the main characters at different times through the main story...we'd all be sat singing different tunes I think.
I wholly enjoyed it (though I did trade it in for $30 so really only paid $30 to play it which I felt worthwhile) but did think that it kind of rushed through the middle/end sections. Some of those sections could have been MUCH longer, like the airship, or the slum levels/walking through the Victorian city ...
I read that only 1.3million pc's in the world are currently estimated to be able to run VR like this...1.3 million. Compared to every PS4 sold. No it won't be to that level but if it's adequate then it will fuel the next generation of tech/interest. Noone is going to be pushing fast advancements to 1.3 million people unless it's supported by the masses. You may hate us, PC players, but we are what make your many many steam sales etc. viable and keep game companies afloat. ...
I'll be honest, I'm terrified that I'll get a hold of it and get motion sickness :/ I don't know what I'll do if a whole avenue of gaming is cut off from me through no fault of my own.
Holy crap...next month is 2016, I keep seeing articles for games releasing in 2016 and thinking "Man, I wish they'd hurry up and release them, 2016 is ages away". I guess they are just around the corner so to speak.
That would be pretty cool actually, obviously not real time but I could definitely see an astronaut VR experience. Good idea!
Except most PS4 owners aren't young children, most are young adults/heading to middle age with disposable income. I started gaming with megadrive, PSOne was my first disc based console and I was around 13 I think? I'd gamed on PC/friends consoles before then. I'm now 28 and can buy my own things. Yes new gamers are being born/growing up every day but that doesn't mean they're replacing us.
When my kid gets old enough to want something like this then ...
I guess just keep in mind that everything you saw before PSX hasn't vanished, it's just been added to, If you didn't like it then you still liked the stuff from before :)
So, every VR currently heading to market is going to fail because they all need a PC? (Except PSVR obv).
Whether you think this guy is full of crap or not can I just say how much I love this picture of his, it's like he knows how much he's trolling everyone and is totally okay with it.
So the big question here is "Will this version also update for PSVR or will they release a PSVR version later meaning I have to buy another copy..."?
