Personally while I view my Vita as a good buy (Gravity Rush and P4G at 80 hours, and Virtues Last Reward springing to mind I feel that cross buy games make me less likely to play them on the Vita.
If I have the option between PS4 and Vita versions then I'll notice the limitations very quickly (graphics, sound, controls) and it will give me a negative impression of the game itself.

1) Price comparison between 4k and a PS4...no one is saying they're ONLY interested in graphics and so that takes precedence over actually having money. Common sense would dictate that clearly $350 and $2.5k is a bit of a difference. It's not an excuse to say we should be comparing PS4 with Xboxone as they are in direct competition, PCs aren't.

If I can have two choices and everything is pretty much the same except one looks better then why wouldn't I choose the better looking one? It's not like we're getting a tradeoff here like Lower graphics but better sound quality etc.
Played the first beta and the second, I was really getting Destiny deja vu. I felt like it was a polished visually appealing game and I could see where it wanted to go (hopefully with a decent story though that wasn't on display). I think that it might be hamstrung with the realistic world aspect of things, I don't know how many times I'll get an upgrade I actually care about as they're grounded in reality (oh, a new grip? Quite clearly all PS4 owners are ready for it because all you need is a PS4. People are either a)stretching for a definition of 'ready' that wasn't in the article or b)*shock* didn't read it.
Only a small fraction of people actually have PC's that can use the Occulus properly 13 million PC's WORLDWIDE in 2016 (source at bottom), and then you're equating that % as the people who will purchase it.

Oh my word, $99? That's Samsung GearVR level. A case with a fan and a capacitive button on the side where you snap your phone in and it does all the work. And for that you want full RGB subpixel HD screens running at 90-120fps with an external processing unit for lifting and split screen video display, integrated magnetic/capacitive/gyroscopic sensors? Kind of a disconnect.

Don't see the disagreements here as you're argument is quite reasonable, however, if you're making a game you have to recoup your costs. If your game cost 10 million (avg cost for single platform development) and you only have an audience of 2 million (super optimistic for initial purchases) with say an attach rate of 4.4 (last estimate I read for the PS4) out of the 88 games for release that's a 5% chance a gamer buys your game (all things equal).
