@GQ, Unless in those reviews it mentions the lowered fps as being a negative and hindered their experience then that assumption is pulled out of the air.
I think that we could have the rollercoaster kind of experiences if they're effectively free. The kind of things that you can give to people for a quick demonstration and have them go "WOW what else can this do?". But I don't want to load up the PS store and see a bunch of short 'experiences' for $10.

Thing is with things like this you HAVE to go all in, you can't expect adoption if you half ass it, look at the vita, relying on third parties and not supporting the system yourself means that adoption rates are low. Look at Kinect, that basically vanished, most games were gimmicks and MS didn't seem to know what to do with it.

I played through the new strike, missions and PoE and then realized that I was bored out of my mind again, odd as I think I put like 180 hours into the main game and TDB, without a new raid however this holds no interest for me. If the new DLC is more of the same then I think I'll dodge this particular timesink.

How can there be such disparity between users? I'm on the PS4 and I've had no frame skipping, or frame drops that I can notice, I crashed once when I started a game of gwent and never again and there was a flag error when I met some people who had captured a nilfgardian soldier and the cutscene cut to him being hanged from giving me split second dialogue choice. Apart from those 2 things I've been solid.

Unless you already have them (I have the camera, two move controllers and a nunchuk) but I get your point, if they're going to play this right then they have to assume you have nothing, so that's $45 for the camera (walmart) + $42 for 2 move controllers (two hands) (various retailers). So basically 90-100 inc. tax. I can see your example bundle price being logical.

Hmm, personally I figured that if they split the image between screens in order to display it in 3D (hence limiting graphics as they have to render it twice) then couldn't you just display the same image to each eye in 2D and keep the resolution? After all it's not like it would be that taxing to just display a linear predetermined video.
Now to do 3D idk, but since they have experience with 3D games and 3D movies (and my 1080p tv seems to do fine with whatever guts ...
I'm level 13, midway through quests in Novigrad and have over 3k gold and my inventory is literally exploding with mats, I can make items that are 15 levels above me right now with what I have, I have flawless rubies/emeralds etc. just sitting there and a 'junk' tab with so much stuff to dismantle I can't even bring myself to start.

Okay, obviously a shiny turd is still a turd but I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting a great game that also looks great. I personally think the final evolution of gaming will be experiences along the lines of a real holodeck/full immersion rig (Ready Player One, sword art online, hack sign etc.) You can have an artistic style that is realistic in the sense that if life WERE to be like that it wouldn't look out of place.

Hi that guy, the DLC development team and the patch development team are most likely independent of each other, cancelling the planned DLC won't have an impact on the speed at which bugs are fixed (excepting if the DLC causes bugs).

Are you really asking why people balked at paying $40 for something that can be completed in one hour (quickest, 1hr 40 avg)? Yes I know about the side objectives, but many games have those and are still longer than an hour...
You can't really include 100%ing the game as a measure of game length, many games include playthroughs on multiple difficulties for example, this doesn't make the game any longer, just repetitive.

Let's hope it doesn't rise that high, I game on PS4 primarily but there needs to be a healthy competition for consumers, as soon as you have a monopoly you get shafted. Look at what's happening in areas where Google are releasing their broadband, service from companies like TWC is skyrocketing, doubling speeds and lowering prices (where they're still a monopoly service is still mediocre to garbage). eh, $19.99 a month, for some people that's basically nothing, heck people still pay over a $100 a month on cable. I don't have bandwidth caps either where I live so if I were that person there would be nothing stopping me signing up for it.
