The literal ending to Starfield or the closing missions? Because some of those missions were actually pretty great in my opinion. Especially Entangled.
Halo 5 had a worse story I felt than Infinite but I agree on its lack of replayability. The single PNW biome is tiring and everything not green and foresty outside is metallic and reflective inside.
Multiplayer is solid but lags behind 5 too I feel. At least it still does get some new content even as they&...
Why does this article have to be used to push this damn agenda?
Just be happy for the devs ffs without having to fan the dramatic flames of console warring
With Remote Play, the lag can be almost complete nonexistent too. My TV and Receiver glitched up really bad a few weeks ago and my Xbox wouldn't output through 4K 120hz for a few weird hours of power cycling these stupid devices, so I got to test this out while my Xbox just refused to output video through hdmi.
With a Backbone on my phone, and a controller connected to the console (hardwired into the modem through an Ethernet switch; my phone is connected to a Router th...
Yeah it says a lot about the management of 343 at the time that they could have a marketing campaign be so disconnected in tone and story from the game it's supposed to be about.
I'd imagine it would be frustrating for the developers that the marketing beats seemed far cooler than what you were stuck making. Maybe it would've been better if 343 just continued the story from their previous game but nooo they couldn't be bothered to do that even once
Got mine at Target as well, but in the first 5 minutes preorders went up - also had the few checkout errors, and then another "Something went wrong" when the order did go through but the confirmation didn't load. Then I got my card charge notification and knew all was good :)
It seemed a lot smoother than PS5 preorders were nearly 5 years ago. Felt like the Best Buy cart/checkout process then failed for like an hour before it went through. I was done with Targ...
Bungie at that time became the most wonderful bunch of hypocrites in the gaming industry. Knowing this now, gosh the entitlement they felt was out of this world.
Nothing like buying yourself from Microsoft because you don't want to be the Halo Studio anymore, and the FIRST THING you do is sign your next IP over to Activision, for a DECADE, while they are in the middle of ousting the heads of Infinity Ward so they can exert even more control over COD while screwing out t...
It's different new Horse Armor in the Digital Deluxe
Standard Edition includes the OG Horse Armor that started it all lol
Similar thought. I'm finally finishing Avowed tonight, wanted to quickly play through South of Midnight before Expedition but Oblivion's one of my GOATs soo I gotta reprioritize now
I'm sure they've detailed exactly that in documentation provided to developers.
Back in the day I put over 115 hours in and did all of the pre-expansion dlc quests.
Somehow I guess I just let Shivering Isles slip me by. I'll so gladly play that again and do it all this time around
Irrelevant and ridiculous comment but I'll bite.
Since December Xbox has released Indiana Jones, Avowed, South of Midnight, is a weekend away until the Oblivion Remastered drop, and is less than a month until Doom releases. Get over this spammy trolling
Edit - and can't forget the Forza Horizon PS5 port. Great games across multiple genres and platforms. To keep it on topic of Switch 2, hopefully that platform will be able to get some of these too ...
"The gripe about gamepass was always that it's driving the industry to a place where there's no sense of ownership"
Based on no precedent or rationale. Game Pass members get perks and sales to *buy* games. Most titles on GP get 10-20% off. Sometimes Xbox throws random 90% off deals to *buy* games. Every single game pass game can be bought.
Heck, I can still play games I bought over 20 years ago on my Xbox. This argument against them is s...
PS5 in the US is still outpacing the sales of PS4 despite having a base MSRP $100/25% over the PS4's launch price on the disc model and only having temporary sales in the 4.5 years it's been on market.
Switch has never had a price drop in the US and is on the verge of becoming the best selling hardware platform in history.
The masses will pay if they see value in it. Microsoft didn't convince the masses Series S or X are worth their value and ...
Sony only supports VRR through HDMI 2.1 on PS5, but HDMI 2.0 (supporting 1440p120hz) on PS5 does not support VRR. On Xbox, it does.
If the Switch 2 Dock doesn't enable HDMI 2.1 output, yeah maybe it can get a firmware update down the line, but if VRR is indeed not supported through the dock, Nintendo went the lesser-effort route of Sony instead of the more robust support Xbox has.
Or maybe this is also a limitation of the Switch 2 having built-in G-Sy...
In the days of ever-increasing prices, one would think gamers would appreciate the bang-for-the-buck Xbox Game Pass provides.
Especially because they're so critical over Nintendo's Switch 2 pricing.
But, the reality (here especially) is that so many gamers are hypocrites driven by a PlayStation-first mentality. It's sad but is perfectly reflected in the downvotes here
Series S COD player wanting to play literally anything else without having to uninstall that monstrosity
Exactly this. It's a win for gamers, especially those who put in the investment to have superior experiences
The game has a player count in rankings.
"The complicit folk like this comment above are what ruin the hobby.... Apologists claiming it's not the corporations fault, it's your fault..."
If you want to bury your head then that's your choice but I think gamers also need to be held accountable for the environment they've curated.
Like, I certainly didn't teach Sony any pro-consumer lessons by buying the $200-$250+ collector's editions of TLOU Part 2, Ghost of Tsush...
It's not like Valve produces a more powerful unit themselves that can run this game in an acceptable way (if reports are as bad as the headline suggests).
Deck Verified should mean and imply that it will not just open but run in that acceptable way on the one hardware they make where that label is of any relevance. And for future hardware that is more powerful, or new OEMs, that label will mean that the game not only runs, but will run better than the baseline.
