"...for most people it's about ownership"
Sure it is, as they play on a slim PS5 where the disc drive requires online activation, or a PS5 Pro where the disc drive is a totally separate purchase (and still requires that online check).
My window of opportunity came and went with the Days of Play sale. If it drops to $649 again, maybe I'll try again, but after loading up Death Stranding 2 last night on my base PS5...
Holy cow it looks fantastic. I don't even care about the Quality mode - 60fps looks great! If they add in a 40fps Balanced Mode I'll certainly try it out, but graphically DS2 is giving everything it needs to and I'm here for the journey ahead. Props to Kojima Productions and Gu...
I was surprised learning last week that it actually hasn't been confirmed for PC.
It is kind of weird for a game to go multi platform then retreat back to a single platform for its sequel. In the sense of... what's the point of expanding your reach and audience, if you're just going to retract when you expand the franchise? It seems counterproductive.
But I bought 1 day and date on PS4 and bought the digital deluxe for OTB, started playing las...
I wouldn't be surprised at this point if anast and osbcure were both alts for the Admin.
We know how Obscure especially drums up additional comments and clicks with his spam-worthy remarks that somehow never get moderated
It was only 4 hours though. "And we're done before lunch?"
"just like Sony"
Gosh you're insufferable, not everything needs to be both-sides'd. Sony's had layoffs, but nothing like what Microsoft has been doing and is continuing to do.
$85 USD
or $75 at CostCo (same standard price as a DualSense)
Even at $85, you're getting 3-4x the battery life of a DualSense, and it is (by a HUGE margin) the cheapest first-party console controller with Back Paddles.
5+ years since the last new Naughty Dog game
BluePoint won't have anything for a few more years
Bend just suffered layoffs after getting their game cancelled
Insomniac seems like they're in development hell with Wolverine
Who knows what Guerrilla is doing, besides making one of the best engines, since the rumors point to a Horizon GaaS
Santa Monica - we'll know when we know I guess, but they better not be making yet another Sony First P...
Oops, I thought you were dissing the game, like they're naively ambitious! My bad man.
Prime 4 was my top too but this morning knocked it down a peg. Kirby's Switch 2 Edition is also really high up there (only played the demo, bought with a Voucher alongside Echoes of Wisdom that I've still got to play on Switch 2)
This is a level-based game
This is now my most hyped title of the rest of the year. It looks incredible. What BOTW was to open worlds, this looks to be that for destructible environments.
I know her role, and I still said what I said.
Nothing from you of all people here will ever be news to me.
So it's roughly equivalent to Doom The Dark Ages (which has one tier higher CPU minimum but one tier lower GPU minimum)
But it looks like how it does. Getting this game day one is certainly gonna be a choice regardless of price.
Can Sarah Bond take Phil's job and get him out of Xbox finally?
She seems to respect the console and the platform, but it's coming off like they're using her and these years-ahead hardware announcements as damage control for what Phil is currently doing to undermine them.
"Doubling down on the Marathon Universe"
They're doubling down on soul, thank goodness this feedback illuminated that for them...
"Any" player would've been more appropriate
If XVI was a good game, yes I'd fault Xbox gamers that wanted it and didn't buy it. But it's not and the Xbox port is the worst version. Gamers buy games because they want to play them.
VII Remake - great game, they should throw their money behind it. But again, uphill battle now as you're expecting people to buy a game over half a decade old, not just two years old.
The longer you wait, the more people jump ship from Xbox, the fewer peopl...
Who is asking to play FF XVI though? It's a bad Final Fantasy
It also has like, no positive word of mouth.
Nearly two years late and the worst modern title in the franchise, who actually wants to play it?
@Batman
"I will never buy a digital only release for full price"
Yeah, I too remember how no one on here, clutching their disc drives, bought Baldur's Gate 3 on release day. Biggest flop in history. No one also bought Hogwarts Legacy, because that disc is just a paper weight. Didn't break ANY sales records either, nope not at all.
Because gamers on the internet - they stay true to what they preach. It's why Xbox Li...
