"Xbox can't handle UE5, SSD too slow"
Also Xbox: *nearly every non-Bethesda studio on UE5*
One of those games isn't even Games as a Service
Another one is delayed till sometime because of massive backlash due to its glorification of being GaaS.
And then we have Redfall, which isn't a superhero game, has no microtransactions, no in-game store, and whose gameplay impresses based on virtually all of today's previews.
Didn't stop this article from including backwards compatibility.
This whole list is awful though. 3/7 are just on the controller. Might as well add #8 for the sticks being symmetrical, and #9 for it including a rechargeable battery, with the amount of thought the author actually put in.
Activision's games have basically become Call of Duty and the occasional remake made by a studio that then becomes a Blizzard or COD support studio.
Microsoft gains the full suite of Activision IP and gets the power to revive those IP with all those studios/developers that have been relegated to, again, COD or Blizzard's live service games.
And Sony can finally decide to jump back into making first person shooters, which they have completely aband...
How can someone write an article about morality in gaming but not mention The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 at all?
Part 2 directly deals with the moral dilemma of Joel's decision from Part 1's ending, Abby's journey of revenge against what Joel did, and Ellie's journey of revenge against what Abby did.
It's gaming's most focused effort in narrative of dealing with the consequences of the playable characters' actions, and because of what happe...
I returned my Deck after a couple weeks when I noticed a series of dead pixels playing A Plague Tale - opted for a refund instead of a repair and I don't regret that.
The device is amazing with all the tech and power already there (Plague Tale ran smoother than I expected), but the display quality by itself is remarkably low considering everything else in the Deck. If they announce an OLED Deck at any time, I'll preorder it immediately.
If any developer is to be called lazy, look at the platform holder first. My company is building a new application in Microsoft's newish .NET MAUI framework and after working in it for the last 3-4 months almost daily, I cannot believe how completely and utterly unstable it is.
[.NET MAUI is their multiplatform application UI framework that succeeds (and is built off) Xamarin. Build once, target Windows/iOS/Android with a shared codebase.]
I would hop...
It actually was highlighted during the announcement of the One X back when it was just "Project Scorpio"
Then nothing came of it because, surprise surprise, Windows Mixed Reality flopped hard in between the X's announcement and release.
Are we commenting on a tweet here? Because I see a 2 minute 40 second trailer titled "Official Launch Date Announcement"
But yeah no confidence, right.
Gyro aiming is absolutely awful. It's either not registering, or registers at 100% and throws you off track while flying. Playing this right after Ragnarok it's also weird not having gyro aiming when you're aiming with your wand.
Not to mention the input lag with the analog sticks - default sensitivity feels unresponsive
And very beatable within two weeks.
If they haven't patched this though, I encountered about a handful of random crashes in the final third of the game. Not a huge problem, just minorly distracting since the save system is pretty good, but that's about my only issue with the game. Played it on Series X primarily in the 30fps RT mode
Now imagine how much that's gotta benefit the dev and QA teams - so much speedier to get to any point for reproduction
Blanket bans and flags on people just because they're showing positivity toward Xbox-related news?
Starting to sound like the thought police intent on turning this place into N4PS

"Its inclusion in the trailer was because of the aesthetics of the map." Weirdest thing - cool to show, not cool enough to include?
Forge Lord confirmed on Twitter it's not coming to the Community Playlist. Weird to be included in the trailer for "aesthetics" only but hopefully they'll change their mind
This does look really great. I only play now during events but hopefully with three month seasons, maps and weapons, it'll keep feeling fresh!
I remember writing "DO NOT TOUCH COMPUTER" on a piece of printer paper and throwing it onto the crt monitor during my first time following an E3.
School was at the end of the year, no homework, must've spent hours waiting for those 15-30 second Quicktime videos of Halo 2 and Metroid Prime to load up on IGN.
Ubisoft, with the ever-inspiring "if it happens"
Fan could be on in reverse mode, which I always forget to flip back for the first month of the desert heat...
Gotham Knights is not only not GaaS, it's also only a two player game. Do you actually know what you're complaining about? None of these games are similar in gameplay or tone and only one is released.
