It's been a while since they stated this, but in that initial context I don't remember seeing the sales curve relative to PSVR1, only the 8% higher figure.
That's a dramatic stretch to say "killing". They haven't had a console dip anywhere near what Nintendo had with the Wii U (under 14m). The original Xbox sold 24 million units, GameCube was under 22 million. If these figures are based on last fiscal quarter, they could possibly be at or around that 22 in well under 3 years (vs GameCube's 5 year lifespan and Xbox OG's 4).
I actually can't believe One sold 58m. I would've thought 40-50. And th...
Horizon Forbidden West, dang how are you not understanding that! It was very public the first few months how Performance Mode looked.
No duh Horizon Burning Shores looks great in Performance Mode because they fixed the visual issues a year ago.
I'm responding to you Sonic, who mentioned Horizon Forbidden West. Clearly I'm talking about Horizon.
@Storm If you announce a product, you're ready for the public to talk about that product with what you shared about it. We were told it's a Remote Play device and that Jim Ryan thinks it's innovation.
So far, based on available information, it would be the least functional streaming device that's yet been put out by a major company (comparing to Logitech's overpriced stream-apps-only device and the Razer Edge that has local Android app support)
Nevermind that FFXVI is broken up into chunks of land separated by map selections with static time of day.
The performance mode became incredible after a series of ten to a dozen patches. At launch it was hazy and fuzzy; they reworked their upscaling and AA processing and only then delivered a solid beautiful Performance Mode.
It was in the patch either immediately before or the patch itself that introduced Balanced Mode and VRR support.
My PS5 is hardwired into my modem and my phone obviously is on WiFi, but through my router.
That's not "same network" to PS Remote Play. It's ridiculous. It takes over a minute to start a session as it waits the full timeout checking initially before switching to look online for my PS5.

As Foxtrot says, it depends. Great games are worth playing, whether it's for where they first release or where they eventually release.
Are you doing ok?
"If they don't like the first 10 minutes? That's it. Also, if you don't make the first 10 minutes amazing, maybe it's also a problem." says the unbiased developer of an Xbox Game Studios-published game that has a 67 metacritic.
There it is. His own words. Make a mid game, get mid reactions. Seems fair. What's not fair? Blaming a service for sales woes instead of it just being an average unexciting game that no one talks about anymore six months...
I think the audio of the game coming through the controller would do more to improve the 'feel' than the haptics. There are a lot of subtle ambient noises that would be better communicated and more effective the closer they are to you the player.
There just isn't enough interaction to make haptics be the deciding factor on 'feel' over audio, IMO. Grey-on-grey art styles make me prone to motion sickness and I did get that once about midway through the gam...
I can't imagine the person who would greenlight the game for full development.
Do you remember the runner mobile game, Crash On The Run or whatever, littered with mtx? It's already offline and off the app stores after not even two years.
The crying and moaning came from people like you saying that other people said things, and other useless babble like how Game Pass is just a "rental service" or Microsoft is "buying up the industry". Yawn
We don't even have to look at a different industry.
TMNT Shredder's Revenge just left Game Pass and it's hopping right onto PS+
Stray is leaving PS+, we'll see what happens there in a few weeks
Coming soon on the UE4 Engine, preorder to guarantee access to the Force Stutter ability available exclusively on PC before it gets removed after the launch window.
@Quantum Are you forgetting that subscription revenue is only just one of many revenue streams? Are you also forgetting that subscriptions are recurring revenue streams?
@Isarai couldn't even copy a number right and just divides by the game count for reasons. Lol "so actually!" 🤣
... and has received absolutely nothing in consequence for that, as legions of fans of single-player story-driven games hope for the acquisition to fail so that Activision may continue its GaaSification and CODing of any IP it pretends to care about
Sony's lawyers don't even know how to use a permanent marker, do you think their fans are going to know basic math?
6 weeks after PSVR's release would've put that right at/around Black Friday, so yeah context on timing is important especially for hardware that by itself was also a lot cheaper during a heavy spending season
