"all 4 come together"
*Sighs in GaaS*
Oh they're so in on GaaS that they led their last showcase with a GaaS title that even has a $ in the name.
"Well actually..."
The game launches so good they have the time to focus on schlongs.
It's only $20 on the Xbox Store.
Lost Odyssey is only $25
"The major setback in the room is that players need a hacked PlayStation 5 to relish Red Dead Redemption 2 at 60 FPS"
If only there was an article to read before commenting...
Considering GTA Trilogy was based on the mobile versions, I'll guarantee the PS4 version is a port off the Switch version's code.
Regardless, absolute trash to do the game like this when the 360 version is $20 cheaper and runs fully enhanced on Series *and* still runs its OG multiplayer servers.
That's your own contortion assuming criticism of its extremely linear design is suddenly a call for it to have been open world.
That's also fake news, isarai. Again, the game was consistently criticized for what it was (Pretty but extremely short, extremely linear, hand-holding, no replayability), not for what it wasn't (multiplayer/open-world)
That doesn't seem to be true about outlets complaining on the lack of online. The review summaries on Metacritic are very consistent: Amazing graphics, but shallow gameplay and a very short length with little reason to return.
Here's an example of how *little* time IGN spent talking about multiplayer:
"With no multiplayer, and no reason to revisit the short and stunted single-player campaign once it’s been completed, there just isn’t a lot to...
But... Sony didn't want Ready at Dawn. Clearly
... it's one of the best-selling games of all time. Clearly I'm sarcastic.
It could've been the least amount of effort to just double the framerate on RDR2 and call it a day.
Well, the problem is that Mario Kart 8 DX has sold over 55m; RDR2 has only shipped over 55m.
Obviously it's not successful enough being outsold by a port.
"it sounds like you're just gladly filling the pockets of Kotick on a IP that barely innovates."
So you only buy products that fill the pockets of CEOs you like?
Weird obsession you seem to have over how this guy spends his money. If he plays even 35 hours, that's only $2/hour...
It's pretty crazy that not only did BotW skyrocket the franchise into such high sales but did so in such a way that it still maintains a sizeable lead over Super Mario Odyssey.
I would have never thought Zelda would be a bigger seller than mainline Mario but here we've been for the last 5+ years.
Alternatively - the devs work through to the end and release the game when it's done instead of delaying it X days just to say they offer a preload.
1. Yes we do want it
2. One of the biggest recent announcements has been Star Wars Outlaws, developed by someone else.
It's suspicious that this gets a last-gen port, but Dead Space Remake doesn't.
Port the game built for current gen that struggles to run on current gen, but not the two-gen old remake...
Ah, the Elden Ring approach to optimization.
Chromatic Aberration is the biggest wtf graphical setting I'll never understand. It's like you want to make your image quality objectively worse...
