Well, Sony isn't even negotiating with themselves to port over any of their acclaimed VR1 titles to fill in some gaps. Meta Quest got Iron Man last year but VR2 has neither that nor any sign of Astro Bot Rescue Mission.
A port of Quest's RE4 would've been nice too at launch. Easy win to show off native 120hz rendering.
Ultimate DX!
The most noticable thing is that Xbox's UI keeps doubling down on the failed Windows 8-10 UI elements.
The top bar isn't consistent with Game Bar on Windows.
Windows UI typically aligns menu and app options to the left hand side (as does the Xbox Store on Xbox and the Xbox App on PC).
Smaller squares with slightly rounded edges, yay I guess? But dang Team Xbox needs to get it together for some visual consistency and move away from design ...
"So you are cheering on exactly what you claim to dislike"
🤣 Uh huh. The outcome is the reality of business and I'm not delusional enough to deny it
Where do I say even once in my history that I want any titles off PlayStation?
I want the merger to go through so that there's a chance Activision IP can be brought back after they self-consolidated around COD and GaaS titles, and that the employees have a chance at receiving better circumstances. Said that since day one.
What would the benefit to Square's bottom line be to remain third party if the titles Xbox continued to receive are generally lower quality and the word of mouth drags sales even worse for the already poorer-selling system?
If they could still support PC, mobile, and Nintendo like they do today, becoming first party for their biggest core console titles gives their developers the ability to better cater to that system, receive broader first party support easier.
As a gamer, cheer that more games are coming to more platforms.
As a Sony fan, cheer that the other side will be able to eventually enjoy the games you already have been enjoying, and that those games will now access more players, knowing that there is zero risk for those games leaving your platform.
As an Xbox fan, cheer that you're not going to be stuck with just the B and C tier Square titles.
As a Nintendo fan, cheer that FFXIV ...
Where does it say that on the Bandai Namco page? Copied/pasted right from their link:
"Elden Ring – Patch Notes Version 1.10
ELDEN RING Notice of Update Distribution – Version 1.10
Targeted Platforms
PlayStation 4 / PlayStation 5 / Xbox One / Xbox Series X|S / Steam"
"Additional information about PC Ray Tracing settings is also included at the end of these patch notes."
Wrong. This text was copied from April 18's 1.09.1 patch notes - there are no ray tracing tweaks in 1.10.
"Today we are overstaffed"
Considering they made profit on CP2077 before it even released in the condition it did, and The Witcher 3's update still exhibits performance issues, this is a lie.
Put the excess team members on projects that still need polish. And use them to refine the next projects. We know CDPR has the money - they didn't shy away from bragging about it before releasing broken software and even today they're still avo...
"Wahh Xbox!"
- Jin, every single Xbox or Microsoft related article.
... FFVII Remake had not-gay male character designs?
Or are turtleneck tank tops, and metal shoulder pieces held on by a leather harness, suddenly *anything else but* gay?
The heat is on Ubisoft.
Meanwhile I cannot play any Rockstar game I own from Steam (and haven't since who-knows-how-long) because the Rockstar Games Launcher fails to login with my Steam account. You cannot play your Steam-owned titles with any other Rockstar account either.
And Rockstar Support is super slow and unresponsive
Since the game launched with no active season, there was no deceptive UX yet like this to knock in the reviews.
So it would be great for sites that post reviews to take ownership on follow ups for GaaS titles exactly for this reason. Or review in context of Seasonal updates that people are spending money on.
Then I've got the product for you! Backbone, it's $100, and there's even a Sony-sponsored PS version.
Again reaffirming the absolute functional uselessness of this Project Q
Everything's a "shill" this or a "cancer" that. Such annoying dramatics
How to successfully remove content from your own platform that fans paid for: a Destiny 2 story
I can only imagine how brilliant Fairgame$ will turn out, with the impeccable judgment of Bungie providing feedback combined with the wisdom of Assassin's Creed's and Google Stadia's Jade Raymond at the helm
Why are you so averse to the idea of Sony providing better value for their own hardware? This isn't your first time, it's sad.
The controllers are generic Bluetooth, the headset plugs in via generic USB-C.
"Crazy that this was the only concern from Jim and PS"
Jim Ryan was never once actually concerned about COD, as revealed in court documents and emails from Jim Ryan himself.
Jealous - my PSU is just 650w so I'm capped out with a Gigabyte RTX 4070 (fast enough to pump out 90-100fps at 3440x1440 in both Dead Space and RE4 Remakes paired with a 5800X3D).
I'm not returning to Cyberpunk until the expansion, excited to really push this with Frame Gen and RT Overdrive
