Switch 1 games enhanced for Switch 2 with resolution and frame rate improvements don't bode well for Switch 2?
Yeah ok sure, if you say so. Personally, I think that's far better than, for example, lazy Pro versions of games throwing in a low quality upscaler and calling it a day.
It is solid but the weaker story softens its impact, especially when comparing it to something like Expedition 33.
It's one thing to sound good, but it's another achievement to so masterfully marry the tone and vibe of the story with the musical score the way Sandfall did.
I am glad to see Indiana Jones get nominated for something at least. I expect it to be snubbed across most gaming-dedicated awards given its December '24 release, but Machin...
Complaining about Microsoft is the only thing people comment here for anymore.
This website is practically dead without it
That's quite an unfair headline.
It received a PC Port, a decade-later Anniversary with a new graphical shell, which then got packed into MCC. This Campaign Evolved is only the first take at a Remake...
Blame the consumer because they're giving the money to the corp a different way than you.
Keep it classy.
Excited to start playing this on PC tonight, hoping it's optimized well there - but I'm not quite sure the PS5 Pro is rendering the way they want. That four-way split at 0:58, it looks like an entire graphical effect is missed out on with PSSR. Specular highlights, whatever the technical term is for that sheen on the ground. There are a couple other spots in this comparison that show the PS5 Pro-specific mode missing this extra highlight.
An early Indy 2 would also be appreciated. Quality developers - I'm excited for whatever they've got next
@Army throwing woke around lol, you're using it like it just means someone you disagree with
He gave Death Stranding 2 a 9. Astro Bot a 9. He gave the Black Ops 9 campaign a 9 but also gave the MW3 campaign a 4. Maybe try reading the review.
Hmm.. What makes you guys think they would have to pick?
I'd have figured a sequel would go in either of two directions... an origin story/prequel giving more context to how everything went down, or a different canvas.
"it’s the equivalent, to me, of a walking sim"
Gee, if only there was a way they could let you know it's the flight version of a walking sim
It's like they should've called it Flight Simulator or something... maybe next time...
Elda thinks they're a premium player lol
"Missing-the-point, for $1000!"
"Needs a lot of work"
Goodness. No shit. It was leaked incomplete footage stolen from them, and years later there still isn't a release date.
It is pretty cool not having to do anything for this to work. PC updated yesterday, saw this post and opened the Xbox app and there they are.
I'm sure in time, things may get smarter and devs may tag their game icons differently. Installs from Steam like Dragon Age Veilguard show no placeholder, Doom The Dark Ages has an id Tech 8 icon, Elden Ring looks like it's got an Anti-Cheat icon of a graphical blue panda?
Ubisoft in Saudi Arabia touting their new Chinese partnership. What a trio
Moorwing my first three attempts: "Ok wow yeah this guy is really hard"
Moorwing on my fourth attempt: "Ok wow this was actually easy". I adapted, using the game's mechanics 🫨
When in doubt - pogo those enemies
"Lost Soul Aside would make the shape-matching challenges you’d give to a toddler look like rocket science, all disguised in a deceptively flashy package."
Because lets just pick the phrases we want.
Is there any example of a Switch 1 or 2 game doing this?
It's Nintendo, they may not have something like this at the system level...
I think that's where you gotta be realistic - price vs performance va capacity. You can't have it all, and the technology and means aren't available for super fast and super cheap and able to be mass produced in the millions for pennies a pop
You are giving far more weight to a $20 unannounced shadowdrop Aspyr port than I think even Aspyr does.
