I don't think anyone can or has denied that PS5 Pro will be the best place to game on console.
It's the terrible precedent that stings - a $700 digital console. An extra controller now costs more. The disc drive is another $80 and who looking for a "Pro" console won't need that for their library? You don't even get a stand. Sony is making fewer AAA titles, and it's announced by showing us not new games, but even PS4 ports.
I ...
It'll be great to hear when it comes from Sony, but these bits of info are still nice knowing.
This game is so amazing, I want so much more yet I'm only at like 130 bots saved so far.
Maybe there will indeed be that State of Play where they can announce new DLC levels, some sales/player data along with enhancements for the Pro.
Levels like Slow-Mo Casino would be even better in a flawless 120fps :)
There was scalping even for the Series S at launch...
Sony announced this console by showing you the 30fps mode of a PS4 port running at 60fps.
That's worth $700, ok.
GTA VI is being regarded as this generation's savior, it's getting a bit much.
At least wait until the second trailer.
Sony makes better games than Microsoft sooo who are you talking to again?
Better not buy the PS5 then, Sony's got them for every title.
You're talking like Xbox hardware in its current form is relevant.
It's not, which fuels and enables Sony
@jznrpg and? Those console controllers will work on PC.
Don't say you're serious about the keyboard and mouse. Lol. Guess what, if you don't already have a pair, Amazon can get you a combo for as little as $15.
BMW owners get upset by paying for turn signals they'll never use.
There was never a PS4 Pro-Enhanced Premium Upgrade.
You also don't need a $75 controller to play those cheaper games.
On PS5, you need that $75 controller even if the game takes zero advantage of it! *shoots daggers at games like MK11 that became less compatible with my setup when upgrading to the PS5 version at launch*
A PC can do more things than play games, and it can play games with whatever settings you enable for it. Max FPS? However strong your hardware is, however high or low you want those settings. Stop with that boneheaded "waste thousands" BS.
Right now, there's a significantly stronger RTX 4070 Ti Super with 16GB of RAM for $779 on Amazon. Same price as a PS5 Pro with a disc drive. You need to wake up if you don't see why that is just absurd pricing.
$650 with a disc drive. Or even $680, with a disc drive.
It's a Pro console. Like 80% of my PS library is physical, that's a required $80 purchase for me. But not for what'll be an over $800 console after tax.
Sony's exploitative pricing is Microsoft's fault? Lol you're a joke.
And the disc drive would be 100 euros for you too, right?
They're trying to spit roast us
Why does this console exist when they're still raising the prices of the base system and even the controllers?
$780 effectively after getting a disc drive, for differences you might need the DF zoom-into-backgrounds trick to notice. Should've been $600/$650 digital/disc versions at most.
People doubting this game haven't played a MachineGames game before.
I didn't get into the Indy films but MG's two core Wolfenstein titles were great. And main people behind this game were behind the first Chronicles of Riddick game, previews for Indy say it has a lot of that vibe to it.
Can't wait to play this on PC. Especially it being built with id Tech
Maybe with that near-billion profit, they can spend some to optimize the game on an updated UE5 instead of relying on faked generated performance from the inefficient UE 5.0 release.
Or at the least, 120hz support for VRR and switching that dumb 45fps mode to a properly-paced 40fps in that 120hz container.
@Old
That's your argument?
Sony should just go full Apple then, right? Take out the controller because you already have one, take out the HDMI cable because everyone has several, and they should increase the price even more because you chose to buy an overly-inflated GPU at peak value.
