Bro it's a free update.

What would be better, Sony not supporting their latest hardware so you can complain that even less software takes advantage of it?

*Eye roll*

"It's funny how before yesterday I saw literally zero people ever complain about the games engine"

Again - This is a delusional take that skips over the reality of how the game is viewed.
The biggest issues against Infinite were management and its tech.

Where were you for the E3 2020 reactions? The tech and graphics were railed against. The flat lighting and character models.
At launch and for the following year - jokes abo...

One of the biggest - The original actually runs at a consistent 60fps on PS5

The power difference between Series S and X is secondary to Microsoft's terrible communication and inability to have any consistent expectations.

MS said Series S was a 1440p 60fps machine. Wrong.
MS had Halo Infinite running at 120fps in the beta on Series S. That mode was taken out until it returned a year later.
Last gen games couldn't run in their best form on the new gen Series S.

"At the end of the day I feel like they haven’t really done anything jaw dropping with Halo to earn that “Halo Studios” name"

As your complaining-about-everything spree continues, what would a positive alternative?

Did Microsoft just announce every studio they have is making Halo now? Lol

And?

Yeah except for the fact that the entire leadership and executive structure has been shuffled due to firings as a result of how Infinite launched, and the fact they're announcing hirings and using this as a recruitment opportunity.

No - it's not the same team anymore.

Can't forget HiFi Rush, Grounded, Hellblade, Avowed, South of Midnight, Clockwork Revolution, Perfect Dark, and pretty much every other non-Bethesda/Activision/ForzaT ech game they have announced...

I'm not sure what people are expecting Microsoft to do here. You can't attract talent being in last place requiring new developers to learn custom tech.

Their latest release had you delete your save file because of a game update when you paid more to play early...

Monetization Director has his work cut out for him already and he's attacking people who paid the most lol.

"After one thing?"

Games take 5+ years to make. It's entertainment, not an ex partner that cheated on you.

They fixed up Cyberpunk, what's the point holding onto a grudge that long over a one-time-purchase video game?

But it's fine, because every publisher that we currently dislike and criticize did it first, and it worked out for all of them, totally...

So what you're saying is... Sony's becoming more like the Microsoft and EA you claim. What a great prospect!

Edit: Forgot to add - Even all three of MS, EA and Ubisoft are learning not to force logins in their latest Steam releases.

Ironic huh?

Two years ago, people were spreading fud about Microsoft taking away games from other platforms.

Instead - the reality today is that Sony is taking away their own games from their own players.

It's a new option to a three year old game

"...they looked ancient, like why would anybody play this?"

Jim Ryan's impact is still deep within PS Publishing. I don't know why they have this hatred for their legacy that they'd rather rebuild everything from before 2020 than simply honor it as it was.

Unless it's Bloodborne, that can stay a 30fps jitterfest.

... We're not at 1.2 yet, that's just what they're calling the update.

If you RTA you'd see that.

Are people really this... Confused?

Just take one look at the thumbnail. The top plate is the same size and shape on both Pro and slim. We already know the disc drive fits either system. No duh the plates will fit both.

More than $700m and they still need to grind their employees daily before a big showcase they've had marked in the calendar for how long?

Despicable behavior and management. Over a game they'll never release.
