A palette-cleansing decision that would be fully supported by the full-time QA testers of Demon's Souls
I've got a 2070 Super, 8GB of VRAM.
Windows 10 shows my GPU constantly at 100% with >90% VRAM utilization.
Once you get it up and going let us know how it performs. Your i7 CPU definitely won't be a bottleneck
As a PC owner of this game, I celebrate the benefits.
But maybe the game would actually run on the platforms with 150m users that it was supposed to be built for, if they prioritized that during their obscene crunch time instead of RTX GPUs
They might not be able to. Xbox supposedly does it by caching the game's RAM into the system SSD. The number of games is limited by how filled that system allocation they have reserved for the feature is.
If the PS5's system-allocation of the SSD doesn't have enough free space, it won't work.
It takes Craig a full year to grow a beard, so if we just wait till E3, we might see a dev doc trailer for Everwild and the first new wave of OG & 360 BC titles...
Welllll I guess when I go to NG+ Miles, I'll upgrade to Limited and take a run through this. Get those insta-trophies.
Insomniac's quick updates and fun support like this during the holidays is quite nice seeing. Watch Dogs should take note as maybe the only 30fps PS5 title...
Mr Pumble, the fact that this game became profitable in 24 hours after nearly a decade in development....
Reinforces everything that these "hack journalists" had to report about CDPR and their unsustainable inhumane treatment of their workers. You bring up the SJW crap from opinion pieces to dismiss the journalists and completely ignore the most abhorrent part of this company that they spent a lot more time and articles reporting on.
It's a ...
The difference? Wait till E3 ;)
Perfect Dark also has the extra benefits of being both the pinnacle of N64 FPS, building off of GoldenEye, and the weaker entry padded with nostalgia just by being a launch title.
PDZ was the Xbox online FPS to play for those that didn't want to stick to just Halo 2 in that first year. It had bots with decent enough AI and was among the first major online console games to support 32 players.
Oh, Lee - yes, a trillion dollar corporation with shareholders to account to made a statement about the health of a major consumer product launch. How unexpected /s
The interesting thing about PS4 to PS5 upgrades... Especially this game where the PS5 upgrade released after the system.
When the system launched, you could play this game using a DS4. After this upgrade, you can't play the upgrade with the controller you were just using. No DualSense haptics or triggers or anything fancy either...
But that same controller can be used to play it from your phones. I hope Sony addresses this.
@Neo - I meant that relatively, not personally. All of their "irritating" moves had a benefit to consumers or developers in some way.
EGS - extremely low royalties, but also came with the exclusive game launches. I remember the complaining about that...
Cross-Play - they violated agreements with at least one platform holder for something that benefitted all players (but even N4G hated them out of Sony fanboyism at the time)
IOS - They g...
Microsoft claimed Series to have the best Xbox launch. So if the rest of the month sales were flat, had to be from stock. Same with PS5 - I've got several friends trying to find one.
Epic can be irritating in how they do business, but sometimes it is effective for something.
What do you people think powers the games you play on gamepass through the cloud?
Hardware based on PlayStations?
Good grief kids, these are financial executives doing a Q&A at a business conference, not PR statements to gaming blogs.
More framerate drops in ACV on PS5 at a higher resolution.
Less framerate drops on XSX since it's allowed to drop to a lesser resolution.
Obviously the XSX version should just be canceled since it's a total sham of a system.
Game after game... not even one month into the cycle. It took devs 5-6 years to take advantage of the more powerful PS3; let's revisit this in just a year and see how this trend holds up.
But yeah, you tell that corporate executive! Put him into his place with that fierce comment.
Native 4K 60fps still isn't feasible with either new console, and the gap with the newest PC graphics cards is still large. So I absolutely see Pro and a Series Z or whatever, even moreso because of AMD lagging far behind Nvidia with RT and DLSS.
More RAM, faster clocks, more dedicated hardware for AI especially after AMD rolls out and polishes their Super Resolution techniques.
Is anybody going to talk about the update, or just complain about Phil and whatever else gets complained about in every other Xbox post?
On topic - the multiplayer screens and weapon renders look much much better, shinier, and detailed than the plastic-looking crap from the July demo. They touch on everything that was complained about with the graphics, art, and details. They address time-of-day lighting and adding contrast, fog, atmosphere - exactly things Digital Foundry ...
Donkey Kong gets barely more respect by Nintendo than Star Fox at this point. It's sad that Nintendo's platforming expertise is only on a twice-a-gen Mario lately
