K. Is this like when Sony had actual market dominance and suggested people get a second job to afford a PS3?
You can say that then about any and every industry with a dominant force.
So as consumers, like when they tried to double the price of Gold, we voice our disagreement as loudly and unanimously as we reasonably can. They'll either back down or double down; if we don't like the way they respond, we make sure the service's popularity wanes by stopping support for it if/when that happens.
Not sure why you're mentioning digital movie purchases because that would be a dream come true for gaming if there was an industry- and platform-wid...
Says the journalist on a website that said a couple weeks ago they aren't about journalism, about a subscription service that gives discounts on owning the things in the subscription service.
The window is over by now and the button was disabled - couldn't add it anyway because of that bug.
Until Sunday now, I suppose
I couldn't get one because my account that's been open actively purchasing games since 2007 was too new.
More like Apple TV than their iPhones/iPads (where they do class-leading chip upgrades on iPhones annually and iPad Pros about every 18 months).
They finally updated the Apple TV 4K this year with a newer chip and much improved remote. And they kept it at the same price. If only Nintendo did this.
But, Apple being Apple... instead of killing the 1080p Apple TV and bringing the OG TV 4K down to that price, they keep the 1080p model as is at its same price,...
Denuvo causes spikes in CPU usage, but Capcom apparently uses their own DRM in combination with it.
What makes this especially bad is that it seems Capcom tied the authentication to be triggered by certain animations. This might be one of the more extreme cases of Denuvo having an unavoidable playability impact.
VRR is most effective for any game that has a variable framerate, especially noticeable when dips go below 60 - hence DF always criticizing the PS5 for not having it yet.
VRR is required for Flight Sim on Xbox to unlock the framerate north of only just 30fps.
YMMV on certain displays though, some Freesync monitors have a VRR low end limit of 48fps (or some limit in the 40 range)
"Receives first screenshot" is right there in the title...
There are vibration motors in/near the triggers that few developers take advantage of. Playground is one of them. It obviously doesn't change the triggers' resistance but you do feel it.
Yeah, I'm not sure when Xbox fans (or anyone here for that matter) called DualSense a gimmick.
Nonapath Adventurer, here we come!
The Last Guardian with its atrocious camera system and awful base PS4 performance - remember, it's a masterpiece! So is The Order 1866.
I don't think many or any Western companies would ever go down that route because of the legality around collecting identifying information on minors.
As it is today though, people on Facebook already have no problem spewing violent rhetoric using their real names on public posts by local news stations.
"Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"
And maybe this phrase shouldn't be instilled into young impressionable people.
It's not *your* fault for being a jerk as a kid, it's the kid you're bullying for not getting over it. These people are just upset gamers, the devs should just mute their DMs. Absolving people from the words they say removes their accountability for what those words are and look at t...
Open-world driving through it at 100+ mph, I think we'll live.
I bet they will do what they did with cross-gen Forza Horizon 2 and use the previous iteration of the engine (with obviously lower quality assets).
Nintendo being the weakest spec + highest selling happened with the Wii and the industry/fans kept moving along just finely in life. That generation ended with 360 and PS3 both selling in the high-80 million units each and the Wii just over 100m.
So... Time to get the hell over it. Consumers voted with their wallet what they'll tolerate. We've got PS5 selling quicker than any hardware platform has before in the West and Europe. That's WITH the Switch pumping out...
It's not clickbait just because you don't understand what "120hz support" means
