Oh yeah, they could've absolutely done a 60fps RT mode on the X, Dynamic 1440p I'd say.
Series S hits Full HD 30fps, that's enough proof for at least 1080p60.
I've played up to the fork in the road after the gate fight with RT. For this kind of slower game 30fps isn't so bad for how detailed it looks... though I want that Series X 120 mode
Good to see that they're still working to improve the PC version. I'll give Mercs another play tomorrow.
By the time DLC is ready, I wonder if they'll go to the effort of a 120hz/FSR-enabled mode for consoles.
In between first-party releases, the PS fanboy offend forgets they can play third-party games so they troll on articles from Microsoft-centric websites
Switch and/or PC is the way to go with this game. Cross-save support between the two, Switch felt like a nearly-flawless 60fps and is absolutely playable in handheld - played it almost exclusively like that.
Wonderful game. Those with GP have no reason to not check it out.
I wish N4G would add a "Read Article" stamp on comments. Graphics aren't mentioned in this article, you're here to troll like masterfox. But even he at least pulled a quote from the actual article.
The author's one of those weird Halo fans that prefers thrusters instead of dealing with them.
Flight Sim performs wonderfully on Series S and Infinite stuck closer to the 120fps target there than Series X.
Infinite is a good looking game; it makes Halo 5 look overly shiny and plasticky in comparison. This author preferred the movement enabled by the thrusters of Halo 5 (dodging, charging, ground pound, floating mid-air zoom). I'm glad thrusters are gone - and combined with the changes to Sprint make Infinite feel so much like a Bungie Halo 4 rather than a 343 se...
Good thing the author mentions in the very first sentence that they were invited to play it on the system they gave their experiences on.
That same author gave Ratchet & Clank a 9.
... where was this widespread criticism of Hellblade and Ninja Theory?
You can't be so delusional as to think just saying something years after-the-fact automatically makes it true.
I don't know who you're trying to convince here, Neo - when this game came out it was getting ravaged because, to fit a certain narrative, Bloober was a trash developer, this game was dull and poorly written, a boring combat-less walking sim...
And it's not like they just plopped the game onto Game Pass - Microsoft obviously paid good money to make up for sales. It's a decent game though, but zero replayability and it's easily under 8 hours.
...
And it's not like gamers have given them reasons to go down this path. Hyperscape failed. The latest Ghost Recon didn't hit sales targets. Neither did Division 2. They are shutting down a Tom Clancy mobile service game after a year.
Siege is pretty much their only active successful MP service game and it's a very focused title. Assassin's Creed games are at least single-player based. So how we get a mash-up based on declining franchises... makes no sense.
LCD instead of OLED is disappointing, and would help ever so slightly on the battery life - but those are Gen-1 shortcomings consistent with nearly any portable device trying to be price-conscious.
Windows I see as irrelevant, and would be detrimental to the already-limited battery life. This device will run most efficiently on the OS optimized for it. We'll have to see how well the non-optimal games run.
The dock is the lowest concern - Valve already...
Their own director of marketing can tell you it's not for you, and people still think Nintendo is trying to trick them?
::rolls eyes::
On Bazaar at match-start they all seem to go to the same spot on the left side from their launch area. But I notice them doing smart things like crouch shooting and rapid side stepping (more during 1-on-1 scenarios), switching weapons instead of waiting finishing the reload while in a firefight.
But it gets kind of predictable when they'll do it - like certain actions are hard-coded for.
Haven't had enough drops from 120fps to notice on Series S - can definitely tell it's 1080p on my 4K but for that machine at that refresh rate, Infinite looks good and runs solid with VRR.
Flight Simulator on this performs way better than I thought it would too.
Oh I got it on my Series S. It's just that Insider Hub on PC doesn't have access but the Xbox app did. My Profile's Insider section on HW also said just Xbox, despite the message to me stating PC. So I guess exact situation as you Aarontk
Thank goodness they don't have Halo 5's thrusters, or that awful unavoidable floating-while-zoomed-in-the-a ir.
It felt like Halo 2 Anniversary MP the most to me though based on my short time so far. X to Reload, the Assault Rifle is useful, with Halo 3's equipment mixed in.
The only mention 343 has made with regards to RT in Infinite was a year ago as it coming post-launch (before the delay announcement). Not a peep since then, so of course it's not in this.
I would be surprised if they do put something with such a performance hit in multiplayer at all (at least on console).
Two month old build and multiplayer is built to target 120fps.
Is it supposed to look like the now-40fps single-player-only Ratchet? Or the 30fps also-cross-gen Horizon (which is reportedly delayed to 2022 and also doesn't have Ray Tracing)?
"Full" production. That's an important context you choose to leave out, CantThink.
It's a UE5 game, the engine is only in Preview form. It's obviously been in development/production/world-b uilding/prototyping for the last couple years.
