As a PC gamer i really wanted this to push the hardware. Which looks less and less likely.
I guess we will just have to wait for the modders to up the graphics fidelity.
Personally i have GTX Titan X in SLI. I play at a resolution of 3440 x 1440. If the game isnt that demanding ill just start using DSR on the game. Until modders can bring up higher quality graphics mods.

No doubt its an amazing game and all of us are going to enjoy it. However as a PC gamer i cant help but think this has been downgraded due to weaker console hardware.
Its like when PS4 gamers think their version of the game has been held back due to the Xbox limitations. Its much more of an issue for PC gamers since the gap between PC to any console is much wider.

Well just enjoy the game. I am sure there will be mods for this very soon on the PC that will up the graphics better than what the devs initially showed us. Just like Skyrim.
I believe there might have been a downgrade, as can be seen PS4 is already having framerate issues. Imagine if the visuals were not downgraded, you would have more problems on both the consoles.
Leave it to the modding community to add more graphics candy to an already great game.
If the hack is out in Brazil, it shouldnt take long before it goes global.
This might be the reason why they hardly showed console versions. Frame rate issues.
I hope the patch fixes these issues, however why would they give a reviewers a version that has frame rate problems. Just doesnt make sense, thats self killing.
My guess is the console versions have frame rate issues, since the game is too much for console hardware to handle.
The wait is painful, though i have a ton of games to keep me going till release day.
Its been up for preload since the last 12 hours or so. Preloaded the game, now is the wait till the 19th.

I never claimed consoles not to be popular. Consoles too are gaining games they never had a gen or so ago. Good for all platforms.
Check what happened to Cryket after they went console. They are no longer in business.

On the contrary i see more and more games making it to the PC. Specially those that we would have never expected last gen to be on the PC:
MGS 5, WWE, MK X. PC is gaining more and more support which shows the sales are there.
Piracy is always a problem, but so is second hand game sales, renting on consoles or getting jail broken.
BTW Witcher series has sold over 6 million units(this was back in 2013 must have so...

Witcher 1 with Texture mods still looks good though. I loved how the Withcer 1 played though, 3 different combat styles depending on the kind of enemy and the amounts of talents to select from. I just hope they dont streamline this series too much.
Witcher 2 wasnt hard at all. Of course you couldnt hack and slash your way through it, you had to dodge parry when fighting multiple enemies. Overall though Witcher 2 wasnt difficult at all like the video suggests.
Its a youtube video hence it doesnt do justice to either of the platforms. However if you do look carefully at the track you can clearly see the PS4 version is blurry on the track. This could be due to lack of AF.
I really want to pick it up, specially can be had at 40usd from GMG, but between so much back log i dont know when i will have time for this:
GTA 5, Witcher 3, MK X, Total war Attila add in rounds of Dota 2 and TF2 my plate is really full. Just dont know where this will fit in specially i am still busy with Asseto corsa which too is an amazing game.
Right up i can see the PS4 version is suffering from lack of AF, hence looks blurry compared with the PC version.

I never buy any DLCs, Remasters etc. I have Street fighter 4 on the PC. I am not buying this game until it drops down in price. Since this is just more of the same, i doubt we will see anything new or creative same old same old.
RAM plays much less of a part in terms of performance than say the CPU and GPU, those 2 form the heart of any system.
I think new consoles have more than enough RAM, that should never be a question to begin with. Question is how well developers can compute to make up for the lack of CPU grunt on these consoles. On the other hand using compute doesnt come free of cost.
True, i was just throwing a perspective, so people understand how PC gamers feel when a game gets downgraded. Any decent PC will be multiple times ahead of these consoles.
