F'n finally. I've been saying the exact same thing. Naturally I get 5000 disagrees because it's n4g so the ps4 is just that amazing despite facts. Now. Someone write an article explaining the difference between sim and arcade racers and why sims are usually pared back a bit graphically in comparison. I'll give you a hint... It comes down to sims using lots of processing to calculate actual real physics models, not just canned "feels good for the game" arcade physics....
i think it depends on what you are looking for. games at 30 fps usually have a more filmic quality, complete with motion blur, usually higher fidelity graphics etc. 60 fps is better for things like racing sims, fps or any game that needs to feel quick and precise over cinematic. why do things always have to be in absolutes these days?
i completely agree with you but with the added joke that detroit doesn't look alive in real life these days either.
haha i love it. they kick ass.
hahaha that made me laugh. well done.
considering the amount of capability difference is "marginal" i'd take features - especially considering the features we are talking here are small, basic things like mp3 playback. in reality i took both consoles but the xbox is smoking the ps4 in terms of rapid updates and functionality and as a result, it gets used way more. that doesn't even count the things the x1 can do in hardware that the ps4 can't do... like using voice commands to control my sound system, tv fu...
haha have you ever even used an xbox one? it doesn't seem like it or you wouldn't be using the "media center" argument. aside from the fact that the ps4 has had an easier time with resolution, the x1 is far better equipped for pretty much everything else and the games are still front and center. in fact - the x1 and ps4 are actually pretty similar at the hearts of their basic functionality... the x1 just has way more functionality on more levels. but hey... at least our p...
you'd rather have whatever has the sony logo over anything.
it is... no dlna, no mp3, no basic customization, no pinning.. i'd say its missing quite a few basic things.
as an owner of both consoles, the x1 is updating leaps and bounds over the ps4 with both functionality and stability. as someone who spent $400 on a ps4 and another $60 to actually be able to play with my friends for the year, i want to be able to do things like... play some mp3s or change the bg color in the near future... even small things.
i guess maybe instead of pissing and moaning we should have just not bought ps4's until they were actually finished. maybe we sh...
you had me at ps4. just please, shut up and take my money. you don't need to give me any flimsy reasons to buy.
uncharted 4 is pushing for my $60 and its going to achieve it by launch.
@imt558:
for work. you also can't rely on framerate dips if you are judging from compressed video. the framerates have to be identical and synced in a compressed video and thats hard because most compression uses a frame rate of 29.97, video game engines like to output at 30 or 60 flat. that leaves small fractions of latency in the conversion for progressive or you end up with interlacing (pulldown) which is even more noticeable.. OR you get a double frame every so many...
that doesn't look like 50% more to me.
i've played both. with the exception that the xbox version i played was at 900p, they were identical. i know this because they were literally right next to each other, on exact same model tv. the only difference was the ps4 had like .5 point difference in gamma.
ill be sure to look for your comments the next time some "journalist" bashes the ps4.
is this for real? this is a joke. do these people take themselves seriously?
Lol!
Sweet. I look forward to seeing to seeing the registration card next...... If they show pics of the disc case hinge I'll pee my pants.
Yup. That's what I've been saying. Having the best of both worlds doesn't suck.
