No, it finally got its Metal Gear Solid. Sorry, but to even compare Halo to MGS in any regard is silly. Even if it is all about sales. MGS is a game for those that want a great, deep story and Halo is great for those that want a good FPS with the a-typical FPS story. And sales don't make a game great.
Now imagine what next months reports will say considering the release of MGS4 will effect June numbers. I do have to ask though, not directed at you but to anybody that might know... What was the reason for MS being out sold by Sony?
And it would have mattered not. This game is for the fans and for those interested in the series and not for bias buttholes.
Didn't they give Halo 3 a higher score for story even though it was a bit on the shallow side? Sorry, but this only solidifies my theory that game reviewers are off their rockers.
Don't bother me. Booting a game up for the first time and having to wait a few minutes to play is no biggie. Heck, it takes me a few minutes to get some chips/cheese & peppers and a beer so I welcome the install times. lol
Day one. I could use another good scare game and this one seems like it might deliver. I love the stuff I have seen so far and hope that despite short written reviews... This game is a winner. Gamefly is my friend!
I own all three systems and regardless of what system a great game plays on, I will be there in the front lines playing those great games. No single system will hamper me from getting my hands on the games that make my hobby what it is. it's all about the games, not the fanboy wars.

Resistance was and still is one of my favorite titles for the PS3. Getting to play in the world of Resistance again is going to be a blast.
Just like Resistance was, this will be a great game and will only push the PS3 even more and make for a great online game.
It is a musthave for anybody that loves UT. It may have a feeling of been there, done that but it is all around a great game and fun along with some great graphics. If the 360 gets mod support then it will be worth the money all around.
It brings me to wonder how they will continue the series. I know Kojima hinted at a story related to Raden, now that would be cool.
Because it was a multiplatform title. Typically they don't push any one console so this is no real suprise.
I know they may be a decent benchmark but do they still rely on a counter rather than actual retail data?
I also notice that NG2 sold "ok" but not great. If these numbers are any bit reliable, shouldn't have NG2 sold more units opening week? I mean, Haze sold 200,000 opening week and had horrible scores, I would have thought that NG2, a better game would have sold more.
Upscaling matters greatly. An upscaled DVD looks far grainier than a true HD BD movie. Games on the other hand... While I do say that upscaling lessens picture quality, in a game it is not as noticable as movies. The games these days still look far better than last gen so any level of scaling makes no difference to me.
Like it to an extent. The use of the PS EYE is very cool. I have actually been able to see my kids watching TV from work on my PSP. The gaming is cool but does have lag issues on many of the titles. Viewing video and pictures is a cool deal and works great.
They have used for every game? If not then sorry, they are just using it as an excuse to find fault in the game. Didn't they give GTA4 a 10 even having not played an online component?
Taking a look at games like Gears and MOH, yeah, the color palette looks similar but then you compare them to Bioshock and Rainbow Six and you have something totaly different. Not sure but the recent title by SE looks to be a bit different too. Sure you have some similarities but if the developer uses their own art direction then the games look so much different.
Was presented with this sort of journalism, where would be today? I for one have faith enough that this gen is still in its infancy and has a long way to go. I cannot see why anybody would rather write about the doom and gloom and not about the great games coming out and those that have already been released.
About a possible spin off of the MGS cast of characters where Raden was the lead for the next MGS. Not sure how it would float though. It's just not MGS without Snake.
