The thing about PlayStation is that its name and history can carry everything, and I think that's both good and bad. Nobody needs to do any explaining for PlayStation because the games do the talking.
That's great, of course. The only problem is that when you strictly let your games do the talking and have almost zero PR or discussion, it can come off as a little cold and distant.
I don't think Sony is anti-consumer, but I do think they've...
It's like how CNN or Fox News report that a certain individual is "under fire" for doing a certain thing when in reality they're not "under fire" by anyone but CNN or Fox News.
I haven't seen anyone calling Sony anti-consumer as of late. Only here, on N4G, have I seen a small collection of pieces (meant literally and figuratively) stating that such is the case.
People with nothing to write and no way to get noticed are stoo...
This is their second and having played Mafia 3 and observed this, I've reached my conclusion.
All those choices make sense but CDPR seem the least likely to go with Sony. I'm basing that off their seemingly tighter relationship with Microsoft.
I don't wish to see CDPR purchased though. To be honest I didn't really wish to see Bethesda purchased, though it doesn't bother me either.
Though the game is pretty, I've just never really liked Hangar 13 as a developer. I think their projects have potential but they're very averagely executed.
Their games don't feel good to play.
Dude, it's a blue and white themed controller. Your take on this is just downright zany.
Like someone below said, they're not taking developers off game projects and bumping them down to 'controller painter.'
It's likely the same as the updated UI on Xbox consoles now.
Agreed, but I also believe that this was a powerful acquisition. But, is it the studios Microsoft needs or is it the direction?
They already had plenty of studios, but much of their work has been uninspired sequels.
It's introduced me to a lot of games I'd likely not have touched, and I've often been pleasantly surprised. GP Ultimate is a great value.
Well, nobody can say that you didn't try with this post.
Neither can anyone say 'what' you tried.
I literally just had an egg sandwich on toasted French bread.
I'm more of a PlayStation guy in terms of enthusiasm for first party; believe me nobody's more excited about the new God of War than me.
That said, how is this blind eye toward Sony releasing new games on their old console anything other than hypocrisy? This huge sin committed by Microsoft has now been committed by Sony, but it's somehow not the same?
I'm just saying, let's be honest and boil both eggs.
Same.
Got it through their site.
Took me half an hour of wrestling with the process but it finally worked.
What an absolute joke.
Everything's gone before it's up, even if you're there at the right time.
I don't really fear an acquisition war, as Sony has plenty of great studios at their disposal. The PlayStation brand will always be great.
To be honest I'm not really shocked over Microsoft acquiring Bethesda. Not just because of their close relationship, but because we knew that sooner or later Microsoft would hit their big red button of money/power to make a gigantic purchase, and here we are.
Sony can buy too, of course, but their purse isn'...
I was just looking at that and laughing to myself, because it's going right back on.
They're playing hardball now.
They're basically long range shotguns. I put a clipful of an LMG into a sniper only for him to ADS and take me out. Looked at the killcam and there was zero flinch or shake as I was mowing him down.
The Stoner is currently my best friend.
"Let's just hope launches don't become duds"
If that bothers you, then you have real security issues. If you found a way to work out, in your head, that I wish harm on the system based on that, then you're just a paranoid individual.
I'm getting a clear picture that you're too caught up in the brand thing. It's very bizarre; you need to stop.
I don't think it's anti, but it certainly isn't pro, nor is it friendly. I think it's worded idiotically, tbh. I think Rich's interpretation is pretty spot on. It's just unfriendly, really.
Edit: This is not the same as the Tweet.
