I'd much rather have games with better visuals and performance than really high pixel counts. The PS5/UE5 tech demo by Epic is a prime, and I do mean prime example of this.

That demo is running at 1440p (PS5) and it looks incredible.
I honestly hope that native 4K isn't too much of a priority this gen, because I'd much rather...
If you're a smoker, or you don't take care of your home as regards to regular dusting/cleaning, then I could see it.
Solution: Take care of your home.
Given how poor Halo Infinite looked, I wouldn't be surprised if the Xbox One X could manage 4K/60 with it. There's nothing at all remarkable about the tech behind Halo Infinite.
Running what we saw at 4K/60 is hardly an achievement, especially for Xbox Series X.
I'm not really a fan of the new guy, but I don't have a problem with it either. I think it was unnecessary, but it's Insomniac's game and Insomniac's choice.
It's also only a face, and not a gameplay change.
That sexy SSD is changing game design. Ratchet was the perfect first experiment, and it looks great.
You thought that the SSD was tied to resolution?
That's pretty silly.
Impressive.
I have a feeling the PS5 is going to load these games much, much faster.
Got it preordered.
Going to be the first PS5 game I play.
I'd say that's a good start.
Xbox One X Series X One Two X
Same.
I'm 39 and here I am on these forums talking about this stuff, and on YouTube consuming every bit of technical information out there in anticipation.
PlayStation is special to me. I was there when PS1 was introduced and one of the first to try Twisted Metal on the KayBee Toys (now defunct) kiosk at the local mall. I had a PS2 but definitely played it the least because I was focused on school at the time, but I still had one.

Lean sounds good.
I'd like to see new and fresh; something that really says 'You're on PS5,' though I suppose at the end of the day I just want it to have the smoothness of PS4's UI, but with the speed next-gen brings.
I think this may be the most I've looked forward to a new console as an adult. Obviously nothing can match a child's enthusiasm, but I'm pretty stoked for this thing.
It'll come.
Manufacturers will announce availability next year and early on I assume. Then Sony will tell us precisely what's compatible with PS5.
Not too worried about it as of now.

Seeing what actual devs have to say just makes me so much more excited. Demon's Souls devs are talking about how much less painful death will be due to the fast loading times.
@Sunny
As long as Sony stay in their lane and don't lose what makes them special, I almost don't care what anyone else does. This lane has taken them this far after all. Dominance with grace.
I just fear that with bad leadership they could panic and lose what makes them special. Hopefully it doesn't come to that.
It's true.
I also doubt very seriously that certain Bethesda games, if any, will come to PS5. You don't just spend 7.5 billion dollars to give Sony rights to the works of the studios you plunked down all that cash for.
Sure, they could make money doing so, but they can also make money not doing so.
Congrats, man.
Hope you get it this time.
I got the GameStop bundle a few hours ago!
That's what I got :D
Somehow, it does.
He's like a cub scout at his first pinewood derby.
@bouze
I just hope the charging cable is a bit longer this time.
I'm perfectly happy with everything I've seen so far.
