Small gripe, but why do they have to use the same color/rarity system as every other game? Just a simple change to a minor system like that would lead players to believe that this truly is new.
CoD is a business for too many now. It's not even a game anymore, in that nearly every aspect of its design caters to influencers who sway kids to buy the game as well as different player camos, finishers, skins, etc.
Have you seen these channels? Hell, many of them openly cheat and nobody bats an eye. Every day some "influencer" posts a video with flashy thumbnails reading "NEW" (nothing's new its just gunsmith variants and skins) accompanied by...
Definitely going for AC Valhalla on PS5.
Looking forward to the game and how the PS5 leverages its power.
AC Odyssey's loading drove me nuts.
I've played all the Souls games with the exception of Demon's Souls and platted Bloodborne. I'm really looking forward to this one and I hear it's the most brutal in terms of difficulty.
I'll probably play around a bit with the UX myself before I get started, but I've made up my mind. Spider-Man will be next, as I preordered the bundle.
Demon's Souls will be the first game I boot up on my PS5. I cannot wait to jump into this one. I've never played the original DS so this is totally fresh for me.
I loved every minute of it. I did. I thought it was relaxing and I loved the soundtrack and loneliness. Definitely one of my favorite games of this gen.
What I liked: The story, the ambiance, the overall theme.
The combat was okay, but it wasn't a big focus. They were going for the puzzle solving, mental illness thing. The combat was filler.
Hopefully, this time around (with a bigger budget) this will be an AAA and not an AA.
Of course!
What a gen it's been.
Thank you, devs.
You're doing a good job.
Depends on the game.
Games like Manifold Garden should be able to run at 6K.
All depends on how much is being rendered, but I would assume some very minimalist games could do 6 or even 8K.
@GamerRN
That's what fanboys do.
When they have a flex, they flex. Even if that flex is temporary and even if it can come back to bite them, they'll still take that tiny flex.
Then when the other guy flexes his tiny, temporary flex, the other, other guy gets mad about 'his' flex.
Welcome to the wonderful world of fanboys. Have a flex, then a whine.
@Razz
I gotta be honest; I didn't really read it, but I'm quite sure that "least console-feeling console" is a good thing.
It implies, to me (someone who admittedly didn't read the article) that although consoles are still fixed hardware, they're powerful enough to where we're starting to see these options e.g. resolution/frame rate, fov, etc. They may also be talking about the aesthetic being more PC-like. Without reading t...
Got the Spider-Man, Demon Souls, extra controller bundle.
Can't wait.
Though I'm all for high res UIs, they're not at all necessary. This is not a deal breaker for anyone, and if it is, then their lives must be tough.
If you can't even *tolerate* a UI at 1080p in 2020, I can only imagine how broad that sort of pickiness is in your life. Let's be real - this is a fanboy 'problem' for the most part.
Ouch?
They're stating that it feels more like a PC in the areas that gamers would want a console to feel like a PC.
Completely agreed.
They'll keep their eyes on the landscape, and if releases on PlayStation are deemed necessary, then there you have it.
But, do I expect Microsoft to release their games on PlayStation? No, I don't. I don't think putting games on PlayStation was part of the vision before and when they acquired Bethesda. But, I do think that enticing gamers to go to Xbox was. Look at the timing of the announcement; right before the pre-orders....
You're something else, dude.
Just the other day you were chastising a PlayStation game for using a dynamic 4K setup instead of using native 4K. Then, an article surfaced stating both modes (quality and performance) in Dirt 5 utilized a dynamic setup on Series X. You didn't show for that one. Curious.
That aside, this is about the UI. This isn't about the games. This is about having a crisper interface (where many of us spend quite a bit of tim...
I did.
I thought to myself days prior: I wonder if they're going to do a native 4K UI like the Pro. I actually did think about it, so there's that.
I'm happy that PS5's UI is going to run at 4K, because Pro's UI was so crispy.
But it also says to people who are wary of Destiny clones that this game me be along those lines, which I would personally want to avoid as a creator.
But, I'm not the devs. Huge deal? No. You're arguing that it's familiar good. I'm arguing familiar bad.
