Gears 5 was a good time but it was also a very forgettable one.
I'm not afraid of that at all.
I only care about a great game and a great story and it looks like it's shaping up to be that.
But many of us 'want' a sequel and the developers 'want' to make a sequel so we're getting a sequel.
I've played a lot of nice games this year including God of War. Wish I could give it to God of War but unfortunately the game isn't current year.
I suppose I have to go with The Outer Worlds as it's the second best game I've played this year.
I don't want to hear Japanese complaining about the United States.
Japan is upright only by the grace of America. We protect them, buy their consoles, TVs, all their anime crap, etc. If it weren't for the United States, North Korea, China, and Russia would have juggled Japan like rabid dogs juggle red meat.
China has a bone to pick with Japan for their wartime aggression as do the Koreas, and Russia and Japan are still in dispute over territory.

Americans are probably supporting this pretentious prick more than any other demographic, but the review scores are making him cry.
I haven't opened my copy, but now I'm definitely returning it.
I'm so tired of the notion that anyone who isn't into a game that isn't a shooter must only be able to tolerate shooters, or have the attention span for shooters.
Flies higher. His head is flying high... up his ass.
Oh no, not Metacritic.
I still love that this dude's name is Bowser.
I was paying $10 a month and switched to Ultimate for $2 (one time fee) and now I owe nothing until August of 2020.
I get what you're saying and appreciate the clarification. I don't particularly dig the way you worded it but I understand it and appreciate you clarifying. I just think everything is consequential all the time especially in these cases. You're right, we're not playing their opinion but what they say will always have consequence.
I agree that consumers and reviewers can be driven by their own motivations, so the whole thing is kind of a mess; the review and ...
If an author's feelings (subjectivity) help to frame his or her objective analyses then how are they inconsequential to objective analyses?
The author should play the game and give feedback in an objective manner, but at the end of the day subjectivity enters into it because it has to. That's just human.
Did the reviewer (after putting all the pros and cons together and weighing them against each other) ultimately enjoy the game?
Sounds like a heroin den. Terrible name.
I'll leave the discussion with this.
The job of a reviewer isn't to agree with you; it's to tell you how 'they' feel.
I'm glad they hit the M4 a little as well. Maybe now M4 lovers will test the waters with other guns.
When a gun is balanced to the point of not needing or wanting to use any other gun, it needs tweaking.
IGN US is now the enemy of the gamer, but when they gave God of War that 10...
Kallie Plagge was the most vile woman on the planet after her Days Gone review, but she spoke well of Death Stranding and gave it a 9.5 so...
It's quite simple: When you score how they want you to score you're fine, but when you don't you're not.
He took a steaming dump on Microsoft not too long ago and they had a party for him here on N4G.
Now he's... problematic... for being too hard on Death Stranding. Now he's "trying to stay relevant."
I'm enjoying it.
Been back and forth between this and Modern Warfare lately.
It seems that there's joy to be found in the world of Death Stranding, but it gets in the way of itself. That's the sentiment I've picked up from so many reviewers.
There's good stuff, but there's more boring and irritating stuff which sort of explains the high numbers accompanying reviews that sound mostly negative.
How dare you.
Death Stranding must be too CEREBRAL for your small, limited intellect, and you only like shooters and lack the brains the genius of Death Stranding requires. Oh, and you're probably American too.
Quote from Kojima:
"I must say that the game received rave reviews, especially in Europe and Japan. Here in the United States, however, we have had stronger criticisms. Perhaps it is a difficult game to understand for a ...
