Some records shouldn't even be recorded though.
It's like announcing that someone in some country has more recorded keystrokes from their desktop PC than anywhere else in the world. Why make it a thing in the first place simply because we can?
Part of me really wants to play this and part of me wants to return it on the count of some asinine things Kojima has said regarding American consumers and their habits, preferences, and essentially being too dumb for Death Stranding's high flying genius.
I like the "walking simulators" and I've enjoyed most of the "walking simulators" I've played. I could totally see myself relaxing to this slow-paced game and feeling accomplished after corr...
He just explained that Europe and Japan were more favorable, but the United States outlets generally gave more criticism.
Americans are too first-person shootery to grasp the high-flying genius of Death Stranding. Not the actual quote but close enough. Does that sentiment sound like a contented man to you? You're a smart guy, and I know you know what I'm talking about.
It's human to get angry, especially when you've tried to perfect someth...
So is saying "yo" in a discussion.
I disagree.
I think there are degrees of silence.
If you want to heavily mandate total silence that's fine, but I'm not playing by that rule.
Point stands.
I actually find this to be fantastic.
I love almost walking into a room with lasers swaying in front of an entrance.
It's immersive too.
Oh no, the laser moves with the character...
-facepalm-
That's a totally acceptable con for having a laser attachment.
That's how it should be...
He talks a hell of a lot, and I'm on crack?
He was dismissive and aloof. Yes, he talked, but I wouldn't say he had a big personality, which is another reason I enjoyed the character.
Would you say the brilliance plateaued at all, or maybe coasted for awhile, or has it been just consistently brilliant from hour one to hour twenty-four?
Just wait for Hardiman to come in here and gush over "terrifying BT encounters."
They know you've got to reach to call this game better than OK. You've got to be enthusiastic about dull and annoying encounters and generally unpleasant game play.
"I'm loving it! I'm loving the way Kojima connects us!"
I usually don't do callouts but his lovefest is over-the-top cringe.
The reviewers are afraid of the Sony/Kojima cult. Just look at some of these reviews; sometimes no longer than two negative sentences accompanied by high numbers.
IGN are massive and they can get away with it, but these smaller reviewers kinda have to kowtow. You know something's amiss when you watch Rich break it down and put these reviews on display.

The Witcher 3 puts holes in this nonsense as well.
Geralt is a pretty introverted, no-nonsense dude, and I absolutely loved the game.
I see what you did there.
This isn't so much a game as an exercise in patience, with the occasional ambient tranquility. It's more of an experience, not so much a game.
Good or bad is up to the player, but it's not something I'd like to experience. I suppose if I played the game to Pink Floyd it'd be bearable for a little while, but I think I'd tire of it rather quickly.
Kojima's whining about how American outlets have treated him.
Halo 2 was BY FAR my favorite Halo.
I was so competitive in that game and it made me want to be competitive.
Crouch-jumping, BXR, and out BR'ng my opponents was euphoric for me back then.
He should have nothing but gratitude. Instead of gratitude he's crying and complaining while patting himself on the back.
Ridiculous little guy.
No, I don't think he did.
I think he expected everyone to blow sunshine up his ass, and they didn't, and he's saying this to save face.
I think he's frustrated, rainslacker.
He's irritated by some of the reviews from American outlets large and small, and to cope and justify, he's slamming first-person shooters and American consumers while aggrandizing himself yet again.
That's what's happening.
I think he's full of himself and he's angry, and I'm angry over what I've read. He's a childish, ungrateful man and he and his gameography...
@DrDeath
Wow.
You didn't pick up the sarcasm I so obviously dropped for you?
He was looking for some stroking from the Sony/Kojima crowd by firmly telling us that he had no preconceived notions and just went in blind which was ridiculous in and of itself.
'Look at me, I had no idea what I was getting into and now I love it.' 'I tied my shoes before I even knew shoelaces existed.'
He started his sentence with "False" for an edgy entrance too, but it only backfired because going into a game totally blind is...
