You buy the rechargeable Charge and Play kit one time. No one in the world buys standard AAs to swap out every few days. That would be ridiculously expensive and moronic.
They're buying rechargeable. Whether it's the Xbox brand or not.
The DS4 is fine, but if they're aiming to upgrade it in a meaningful, awesome way, then great. Slightly stronger battery's all I'm asking.
Forgot to mention that the whole Monster thing actually works well within the context.
You haul stuff day in and day out 24/7 like a pack mule, and energy drinks make sense. Granted, if someone did this for a living even with the help of mechanical, load-bearing legs, and drank a bunch of this crap, he'd probably blow his heart out, but video game.
It's a little odd how river water somehow converts to Monster energy if you wade in it, but whateve...
Well, at least they're exploring and it isn't a sure thing.
I'm not hopeful though.
Not at all, but let's be real, if a Microsoft game had done this people would absolutely be dumping all over it and crying foul.
I personally don't mind it at all but N4G would be trashing this sort of thing if it happened in an Xbox game. It would just be one more dig along with the Doritos and Mountain Dew stigma.
That's why I chalk some things up to fanboyism. How could anyone look objectively at Days Gone's story and find it overly (or even mildly) compelling?
The Last of Us, God of War, The Witcher 3 are examples of big games with great stories and Days Gone doesn't come close to any of them story-wise or game-wise.
Though I gotta say - fuck mule trucks. Always getting stuck on shit. Worthless.
Stop feeling the need to defend it and just enjoy it. The opinion that it's boring is valid, and the opinion that it's great and addictive is also valid.
I'm in the latter camp presently, but I'm not bothered by low reviews. Although I'm enjoying it I can easily understand why some wouldn't.
I'm addicted to Death Stranding. It's got a great hook and it's satisfying. I was so wrong with my initial impressions and I happily admit it.
You gotta look at the individual reviewers.
Lucy O'Brien is sort of a feminazi.
Dan Stapleton can be a PC snob at times.
Brandon Tyrell I have no issue with.
Tristan Ogilvie can go any way.
One reviewer doesn't represent IGN - they've got a pretty diverse (in terms of taste and sometimes agenda) bunch over there. They're all different.
It'd be nice to have a Hellblade 2. Loved the first game.
@Nucky
I think that's an issue. Hellblade seemed to be a self-contained game, and it doesn't look like there's any room for a sequel. I can't imagine how that story could continue but I hope it does.
I knew this would be a good one.
@Drunken
Everything?
I never suggested that, dude. I said "some more" which indicates that I'd like more mature themed games, but not every game needs to be so.
You need to really *read* what people say before you kneejerk respond.
He may be a little overboard, but why not let him enjoy what he thinks is good news? Why crap on it? Your comment was unnecessary.
Everwild could be anything at this point.
I'm glad they're making games, but Microsoft needs some more mature themed games.
@oldboy
Yeah, I agree, Microsoft haven't shown us anything worth being excited over, and their E3's have been sad. All we can do is hope, but it's still nice to hear that they're working on things.
Unfortunately, Obsidian's newest announcement is very exciting.
I think they need to go with more mature themes, personally. I'm kinda looking at it thinking "ehhh." Microsoft lately just don't publish the kind of games I enjoy.
Ninja Theory's not-so-hot looking game and now this.
-sigh-
Come ON, Microsoft.
If what he says is true, it's the best we've all heard coming out of Xbox in a long time - in fact this is all most of us want to here.
I know the Scarlett will be a nice leap in tech, but man, tell us about the games first. That'll get us to buy the hardware anyway.
I'm going nuts with it (in a good way) and I'm managing just fine. Yeah, it's gonna take awhile, but it's really not a big deal.
