Death Stranding towers above it.
More fun than the actual game, I imagine.
Yep.
God of War, The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, and Death Stranding are my games of the generation. Just waiting on TLOU2 and Cyberpunk, though I must admit my anticipation for Cyberpunk is waning. It's at the bottom.
I'm much more excited about Ghost of Tsushima and TLOU2.
I'm completely shocked.
Although I would say that PlayStation doesn't exactly need its own online MP shooter, it would be nice to have one. Third party shooters sate most of the PlayStation gamers, but it would be cool for PlayStation to have at least one FPS Campaign/Online heavy hitter.
With the talent of their studios I don't see how they couldn't achieve this. Great story campaign and great multiplayer. Shouldn't be a problem for Sony's studios at all.

I would simply replace the word fun with satisfying.
When critiquing and questioning Death Stranding, I often see opponents state that the moment-to-moment isn't fun. We've even seen articles asking if game play needs to be fun. No, but it *does* to be *satisfying.* Something has to make you want to play it. Some kind of payoff must occur.
Getting to the generator to power up my skeleton to get to the 'timefall' shelter in time so that my...
Nah.
Death Stranding is a masterpiece. No sense in comparing it to MGS.
I mean, I understand the importance, but after so many occurrences it eventually just becomes a nuisance. Let me skip with "X" or something. I don't think skipping it with "Options" would be good.
It's actually a long process, especially if you plan to continue through the BT territory. If you're traveling in a vehicle it momentarily seizes and you hear error warnings. That takes a few seconds. Then the camera zooms in and shows the odradek ...
Also add the option to skip the little scene when you run into BTs. Sooooooo annoying. K, I get it, there's BTs here. Stop slowing me down. I'm in the middle of something and everything stops and the little pinwheel goes crazy.
Time to inform me about BTs in a different manner that isn't disruptive to my game play.
I beat it on Veteran the day after I completed Normal and getting all the achievements. I enjoyed that campaign.
Superb.
It's got a really old school flavor and people like that. That, combined with a the fact that it's simply a full game free of monetization at all is a laudable thing in today's industry.
It's a good game, but I think it could have been better. I think they played it pretty safe with this one, but it's worth playing if you like this style and form of RPG.
What is it with Anthem?
Usually bad games like this are recognized for a few weeks for how terrible they are, and then they go away, but the gaming community is holding onto Anthem in a certain sense.
Yes, Anthem is a cautionary tale, but it's been buried for awhile now. Anthem could never compete with what was popular when it was released, and it obviously can't compete now. Are people just so disappointed that they can't let it go?
Simply one of the best games of the gen and of all time.
All the success is well deserved.
The Stadia service is just one giant problem.
Why would anyone in the know spring for a deal like this? There are way too many negatives. Anyone who knows a lick about gaming knows to avoid this, and that there are much better alternatives out there.
I can see a curious gamer who doesn't mind blowing a little dough checking it out, but they probably wouldn't keep it. I don't know who else would buy this.
But Jade Raymond!
Another classic case of a man-child crying because someone had a different opinion.
Time to defer to IGN Ital-oh-wait they gave it a 7. IGN Spain will come through for sure-oh and they gave it a 7 too.
That's literally all this is... again.
....talked to a "dev."
Same, got the platinum a few days ago.
Never stopped enjoying the game, though there were parts that were slightly frustrating.
