The larger announcments should happen during this years Leipzig and Tokyo Game Show.
Naughty Dog may be working on Jak and Daxter however perhaps they were not to a point to show anything, and Team Ico's project if there is anything to show would be TGS.
Sony is a global company and we've only seen a 1/3 of what they have in store this year.
I think it's a bit unfair to ask that the question of "which do american's like best" since not all of American's have access to the game.
From the tournaments I have seen involving 3rd Strike, American's will clamour toward the top teir. In 3rd Strike it was Yun, Chun Li, and Ken. Rest assured whichever top teir characters are in Japan, they will be in America.

Sounds like he is waiting to see if Street Fighter IV is a success before the OK is given to beggin work on Street Fighter V.
Personally, I would like the to go back to the traditional 2d. With HD more common and consoles more powerful than ever, I would love to see the animation of such a game in action.

Why does everything have to be a contest. Yes they compete for the support of consumers to their product. Last time I checked that is healthy buisness.
Maybe someone should step up and say that when a person "wins" the game is over. That's it. No more. There is no finish line in this "war" there is only compition.
Why do I have the feeling that "favoring" the PS3 will only include the announcment that Last Reminent and Star Ocean 4 are in fact coming to the PS3...after the Xbox 360 copies are out.
PS3 fans have had a bad experience with "special announcements" with Capcom, so I am not sure I entirly trust "Swinging the ball toward the PS3." That could mean anything.

Once I get an arcade stick I will probably be picking this up. I've been a D-Pad user for a long time and am starting to see the limitations. This will be a good game to practice on a arcade stick with until Super Turbo HD, Street Fighter IV, or Tekken 6 comes out. Not sure when they come out...BUT THEY WILL.
I am happy to hear that Ubisoft has taken control of publishing over Sega. Now maybe the PS3 copy of the game will recieve ALL the regulations ON TIME.
However, I doupt while localizing the PS3 version of the game they deliver trophies, since there were none for the Japanese PS3 version.
It'd be cool though.
You can remap the entire controller to whatever you want, I don't see how you could have "bad" controls if you make them. Unless you mean something else.
Now Last Raven....those were......unique but you got used to them. Just be gratful that you can now use the left annologe stick for the camera instead of the shoulder buttons.
I have to admit I was a bit underwhelmed by the trailer at E3. They did not do a very good job of showing what a fighting game is all about...the fighting. The trailer lacked anything to hook me into this game. Although I grew out of Mortal Kombat along time ago and adding DC to the line-up didn't exactly peek my interest.

Personally, I think Sony gave the go ahead to give it to the 360 on the condition that it stay exclusive in Japan and release simultainously in the States and Europe.
Why? Sony has everything to gain from that.

I don't understand the complaint with intalls on the PS3. PC games (largly hailed as the finest gaming experience) has been using installs since inseption. It helps textures, load times, etc. There have been absolutly no complaints from the PC gamers about installs.

This game is hailed as the greatest Street Fighter game of all time (along with 3rd Strike) seeing the updates in sprites is nice as well as some tuned gameplay. Almost to tuned it seems.
This game is still enormously popular. Tournaments are still held every year involving this game. Sure Capcom is releasing it for the sole perpose of getting people stoked for Street Fighter 4 but it will be fun to play none the less.
Interesting, although I was unaware that such complaint's exsisted. It's and FPS and you run around and shoot things, the innovation comes from HOW you perform the tasks. In giving the player options you get a better experience overall no matter what genre you are in.
To critisize a game for doing what it does, and does well, is a bit unbecoming.
