There you have it. Straight from the translators mouth.
I am glad that they have started work on the home ports of the game and that the Arcade version has gone gold.
Hopefully they will work really hard on the online component of this game. Since that I think is what people are most looking forward too, and if you don't have a friendly system then it's just not going to work.
I agree that there is a sertain metality to the PS3 when it comes to reviews. It seems that a game that scores well on the PS3 is obviously a mystake and needs to be questioned.
I simply think we are in a state of "GTA IV reverb" The reveiwers went ga-ga over that game handing out 10 after 10 to a game that most felt hardly deserved the title.
Now if any highly anticipaited game shows up and gets great scores people will question if the game really is...
I honestly think they just keep it at 720p to save time and effort.
We all know that Hi resilution isn't nessessary to have a great video game. Devs know this as well.
That in mind not EVERY gamer home has a Hi def TV that is capable of supporting 1080p yet. So why break your back over something that isn't nessessary and only 10% of gamers can have?
When HDTV's are more common and 1080p the majority standard then we shall see more full 1080p nativ...
It makes sence that a 1st Party studio like Insomniac would support their previous title with trophies.
I do hope some other studios role out some elder trophy love for previous titles.
Oi. He didn't actually come out and say that he was compairing the two games.
He simply made a general promo comment stating that the 8 player Co-op or Resistance 2 would be different from other titles you will see this year.
Which makes sence given that Resistance 2 is the ONLY game that has announced 8 player Co-op.
Let's try not to spin this into a fanboy war, shall we?
Many of my friends were waiting for Guitar Hero to have a Metallica edition. Metallica had some really great music it would be very hard to just include one or two songs.
I'll pay more for Metallica than Aerosmith hands down.
It is good that the 40gig may be getting the full backwards compatablitly that it was spurned for dropping.
As good as this gift is, I would like them to add to it and remove region protection from PS2 and PS1 games. Then we would have perfect backwards compatability.
I think most fans of the series were expecting San Andreas type play set in a Next-Gen enviroment.
This would have been enough for most fans.
Most of the new things introduced seemed a bit slap-dash and untested. Fist-to-Cuffs, OTS-View, Online Multiplayer, and Driving Physics: things that add little perks to the game but take greatly from it if they fail to deliver.
Leaving out new mechanics that don't work is infinatly better than keeping the...
Call me crazy, but I don't think it's Naughty Dog or Insomniac. I think it's Epic studios.
This game runs on the Unreal Engine 3 (I think) and not many games on a technical level run smoothly on the PS3 with this engine.
Epic has experience with the Unreal Engine on the PS3 so that makes them a obvious candidate for the "mystery developer" possition.
I can honestly say that I am an origanal fan of Street Fighter, and yes they were trying to appeal to the older fans that "fell out of it" as the developer said, but what got me back into Street Fighter was Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike.
I liked Street Fighter because it was ahead of it's time and nothing even came close to that level of excelence (baring the Samurai Spirit series). Street Fighter 3 introduced a fresh new cast, the incredable parry system, and EX move...
Fumito Ueda.
And if you know who he is without googling him, Kudos.
Wow I'm really not to keen on that song, and it doesn't do anything for the trailer either.
Actually, Highdefinition, you are only partly right.
The Ps2 won over the Dreamcast because 1: The increadable popularity of the Ps1. and 2: The inclusion of a DVD player as standard.
At the time DVD technology wasn't widely accepted and was even less accepted in Japan. Dreamcast had a headstart and was doing exstremely well for itself. Once it was made known that the PS2 would have a built in DVD player and be the cheapest on the market (sounds familiar doesn...
Bloody Hell! The Hunt is on!!
I find myself getting more excited for this game.
I wish that they would show up to date graphical improvements on ALL of the characters, as I would like to see Chun Li as a girl again.
I'm also glad they made Ryu look more Japanese, becuase, you know, HE'S JAPANESE!
Once I locate a Hori arcade stick I will definatly be going online with this, and once the PSN cards come out I will also be going online with Super Turbo:HD Remix.
But, some prossess should be the work of the PS3 alone. Trophies/achievments/whatever you wish to call them are worked out if they are there by the developers, that much is certain.
However, things like XMB in game menu and XMB based Music while gaming (which I think the custome soundtrack lot are on about) should be the prossess of the Playstation alone, and not have to rely on the programmers to actually program a door to allow them access.
By that way of th...
I don't think the PS3 is trying to become "complete" becuase that is subjective and based on user perspective. It's more in the prossess of evolving, trying to adapt itself to the current markets needs or wants. In that sence it will never be "complete" since it will always adapting to change.
The Xbox brand has had these features since it's inception as many will point out, and after all that time (then to now) how far has it progressed? No, Seriously, &q...
I heard a rumor that Gouki was confermed. Of course that doesn't mean anything, but it does give fans of Gouki some hope. Never realized how popular he was.
Online should be standard in all fighting games now aday. What would be cool if they had different online types like they do at large tournaments. Such as 1 on 1 where each player chooses their 2 characters before hand and go best 2 out of 3 matches. Or Teams of 2 or 3 different players agianst eachother.
"Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, To be determined"
Taking it with one face, what else could there be? I don't see this game coming to the Wii in all honesty.
Taking it the other way, and taking the quote purely as is, then it would read PC To be determined. If that is the case then they havn't decided if there will be a PC version or not.
Or these could have been sent with this messege before the announcment was made.
In an...
Thats a bit harsh.
If the developers are making a game that they don't want to play then they will only give 50% and not truely care about it. The games suffer and are exstremely unfun because the developer doesn't know if it is or not.
Last time a company introduced that mentality we got EA.
So I hope that he cools down a bit or someone gives him a talking too.
