I always come into these types of articals late.
I think games are becoming more accessable. More accessable doesn't mean easier it just means more familiar. Developers, rather than creating a different and unique control sceeme will instead favor a button layout and mechanics from other successful titles. This helps the player settle sooner into the games rythem.

In all fairness to G4 they didn't say anything other reviewer havn't said.
All gamers and review surfers need to just reach up to their monitor and cover the pointless number rating that reviewers hand out and just read the review.
Once you remove the number and start to read what the reviewer has to say you get a better understanding of what you, personally, as a gamer need to know.

Unfortuntatly the Activision mindset is "Call of Duty = Sales" the rest will be roped into a false sense of nostalgia.
This game is Goldeneye: Modern Warfare. The gameplay that made the orginal so fun and addicting removed. That's not what people wanted.
People wanted the origanal Goldeneye, not just another cookie cutter shooter with the name "Goldeneye" attached.
There was the origanal Goldeneye on the N64 then Goldeneye:Rogue Agent. Rogue Agent wasn't a remake of the orginal game and was more like a spin-off and wasn't well recieved at all.
This will be the first remake of the origanal Goldeneye but so many things are being changed it's a completely different game delivering a completely different experience from the origanal.
I'm not convinced that Kinect will be successfull outside of the current Xbox 360 userbase.

You can carry two primaries only with the skill slot dedicated to the skill. You wouldn't have access to the extra armor/health/ammo skills and there may be skills we don't know about (at least I hope there are) perhaps a skill that reduces cool-down of primary abilities etc.

I think the requirments for the camera to function properly will be an issue more than anything. Living spaces in the cities are notoriously small and cramped. While this is perfectly fine to sit and wiggle a Wii-mote or a Move around doing some of the required actions of some of the games in Kinects line up will be difficult.

I feel the same way about most MP aspects of games. To me it feels like the developers are trying harder than they should to keep me invested in their game. Unlockable skins, abilities, classes,weapons, armor peices,a leveling/ranking system, and not to mention achievements and trophies.
I like more simple MP experiences. I log in play a bit get a rush then log off. No worrying about my level, what I need to unlock next or what achievment/trophy I should work on.
So he is asking for bond games to have a "dating sim" mechanic? Regardless of the "Bond Experience" as it is refured to that would slow down the game incredibly unless every Bond based game was created like Mass Effect.

A normal opinion piece about the game would not nessesarily peak interest. However, challenge one of the most beloved classics of all time and suddenly you have peoples attention.
It's perfectly reasonable to bring up Zelda as a refurence to a long running series that more often than not sticks to it's roots, but don't interject personal preference or emply superiority of one game over the other. It's just bad criket.

I can understand buying a handheld based on color or picking up another controller based on color, but a new console for a new color seems silly to me.
They other side is I can't really see people going, "You know, I've really wanted to pick up a Wii but those colors just don't do it for me. It's got to be red/blue/purple/pink/yellow/pl aid."
I do hate when publishers do this. The game isn't even avialable yet and DLC to be released so soon? Why not just stick the content on the disc the way you used to before this nickle and dime stuff. It's obviously finished game content.

You can't really challenge an opinion. More often than not people won't really be able to say why they like one thing over another, like prefering the color Red over Blue.
