I plan to start a family in the next few years, so PS4 is going to be 'my' last console...and I'm only buying one brand of console too...
I'll just have to bite the bullet when I see amazing Xbox Next/Wii U exclusives.
But Jnr or lil miss (my future kids) will want/get PS5/6 or whatever, so I'll still be in the loop so to speak ;)

Microsoft DID abandon the core that made the Xbox brand what it was....they cannot be trusted because they have little integrity for gamers. MS saw the console market purely from a lucrative point of view, unlike the other corps such as Nintendo & Sony who actual promote/support the entire culture of gaming.

As someone who's had all the PlayStation/Xbox Consoles, I have no interest in revisiting PS2 games..yes, PS3 B/C would have been nice...but since I believe PS3 will remain relevant long after PS4's launch...I believe the PS3 is even more valuable to me than ever before....

As much as I'm looking forward to The Last of Us...I can't help thinking....What if nobody knew about TLOU and it got announced at the PS4 event or E3 as a PS4 title with graphics on par with Deep Down?

Driveclub reminds me of PGR3 360 launch with its shiny visuals (at the time) and attention to detail...
My money is on Driveclub as it's a completely fresh new IP that must prove its place on the racing grid!...Cannot see Driveclub fail since it has some of the industries most respected racing development teams involved.

The most expensive process of making video games are assets, engines etc..
Hence why I mentioned 'Some Studios' as a lot of studios will license the use of another (UE3/4) engine.
Some studios build their own engines for a specific purpose...the one's who must create from scratch will find the cost prohibitive, even tinkering with an already available engine can be costly depending on what assets these studios are using.

To be honest, after seeing PS4, I can't bring myself to buy any more PS3 & 360 games.
I know I don't want to miss out on The Last of Us, GTA 5 & Beyond though....

Believe it or not...PS3 development is more expensive than PS4 development for some studios, even at this stage...
Sony did well to abandon the Cell with PS4..it really was a total 'Bitch' to code for.

Looks like Sony are signing up top PC developers...looks like Epic are more on-board than they were on PS3 and Blizzard have a 'Strategic partnership" indicative of more than Diablo III coming to the console.

If someone is half baked, has violent tendencies or a drug related issue, then surely almost anything can influence this person....I believe you have to be pretty messed up to begin with if Video Games, Movies or any medium can have an adverse affect on your psyche.
