I watched the first 30 minutes on youtube (in spite of spoilers) and it amazes me how PS3 is doing this...the epic boss battles are a must see and the scale of this game is unbelievable.

8.5? ...Aliens is not nearly that good. Having played it for 2 hrs... can honestly say it is not a bad game, it just fails to live up to it's potential.
I have played better Alien themed games on hardware of generations long passed (PS1, Atari Jaguar etc) 6/10 is reasonable IMO.
I wish someone invents a system where if you are disconnected from the net...your online game continues for up to 10 mins whilst the internet attempts auto-reconnect in the background.
In fact, I hope the next gen systems can do most stuff in the background with zero disruption to play time...e.g. patches/installs/lag free auto saving :)

Nice try with listing Black & White ...a game that never saw a 360 release and is not even rumoured on anything next gen...also Rare have not been relevant for years...MS saw to that.

I literally just received a pre-owned (yes MS!) copy of Fear 2 for my PS3 as I missed this series 1st time around...I have read Fear 1 is the best, but I jumped straight in at 2, and I've been advised to steer clear of 3 as it is action, less scares...true?
It would be an mitigated PR disaster should Sony not announce anything PS4 related...there will be PS4 news for sure...

I mean, if we base it all on rumours from sources alleging to be in the know (there's nothing else to go by), then Microsoft have dropped the ball with this 'Kinect Always On' thing or else the console won't function at all?? ..and the anti used game fias...

Star Wars & Aliens...not since the Snes/Gamecube for Star Wars games that were based on the actual movie (not spin off) and I cannot remember a really good Alien game since PS1 days...

If the PS3 was still relevant 2 years from now, and no next gen machines were on the horizon, you will see what Crytek is doing now can be bettered...you can always squeeze more out of hardware, as developers find more ways to streamline and code more effectively...

Nonsense....even piracy, let alone the 2nd hand market still allows these third party developers to make money..I never once heard of a developer shutting shop due to the piracy/second hand issue...most developers close because they're games are whack or simply due to poor business decisions.
