I have never read such immature comments. PS4 is getting a lot of attention...so what?

This is a PS4 article, so Xbox users (I own both PS3/360) should put up and shut up until MS gives you all something to crow about.

And yes, I will be purchasing PS4 and have no intention of buying an Xbox next gen.

But hey...

One can't help feeling the Wii U would have faired a lot better had it been released early 2011.

My reasoning is that Nintendo clearly wasn't ready for Wii U's launch. It takes roughly 2 years for software technologies to improve, and developers to create something astounding.

Sadly, the Wii U's best moments will be in the wake of PS4 and Xbox's impending intimidating shadow. Agree or not, that is a matter of fact.

The E3 2011 demo looks superior to the final cut. I was disappointed with the final version shown in the comparison video.

Not to say BS Infinite is not a good game...I mean, look at all the reviews.

Just saying the 2 year old demo looks better IMO...Don't stone me to death for it ;)

OXM suggest the Xbox Next will be locked to 'online only' if you purchase the monthly subscription model and pay for your Xbox on the drip...

When you complete the 24 month agreement, the console is unlocked for offline use.

So we may be looking at two future Xbox business models here.

1) Sub-based and online only (Monthly Fee)

2) Non-Sub Xbox Next >unlocked for offline use.

If this is correct, it ...

So true, and they're the worst kind of people, cos they don't have a mind of their own.

Yeah, I see your point too. ...

I don't get why so many peeps are stuck on this 60fps 1080p thing...and it mostly seems to be coming from PC tech heads.

Consoles are perfectly adequate for what they do. I mean, look at games like Uncharted 3, Last of Us and Beyond...they all look freekin' awesome!!

Is 1080p/60fps (while nice) that much of a big deal? ..can the average Joe really tell the difference over 720/1080p on anything smaller than a 50' TV? I own a series 6, 42' Samsu...

B/C would have been nice....but I can't see many people not purchasing a PS4 for the sake of that.

If we want to play PS3 games we'll just have to keep our PS3's hooked up to our sets. You can't beat the real thing anyways.

I've accepted it ain't happening... PS3/4ever gamer friends.

Edit - I decided it has to be PS (again) next gen. I like the new 'humbled' Sony :)

Timed exclusives are utterly pointless from the gamers point of view.

However, it must generate more sales for the console manufacturer, or it would have been put to sleep a long time ago.

I fully expect MS to draw the 'Timed Exclusive' card again throughout next gen. Especially with the industry buzz concerning MS and EA. Who are reportedly snuggled up in bed, making digital babies together. But you won't hear the end user complaining.

Unfortunately, most of my peers play console. I never was attracted to PC gaming, which I agree is superior from a technical standpoint.

I guess I just prefer that immediacy you get with consoles. You know where you stand with a console, if you get my point.

Both next gen consoles will be awesome...

I am opting for just one console next gen, but I'm stuck though. I really enjoyed Halo 4, Alan Wake and personally think Forza 4 trounces GT5....

On the other hand, Uncharted is great, Last of Us looks really good...and I will never forget my online antics with Motorstorm....I can take or leave Killzone.

Had Sony offered B/C on at least PS3 digital/retail games then it would have been a no brainer...

Budgets don't concern me, quality games do.

It's true the 360 output (from a 1st party point view) slowed somewhat. But you cannot deny the marketing and quality of the titles that MS studios releases.

Sony are consistent with their game output, but their fans don't reward them for it (IMO) as the sales are lower than many MS releases.

This tells me 360 owners will either buy anything or Microsoft's marketing is spot on or b...

Let's keep this in perspective. Microsoft have not announced anything. All these rumours are pointless until MS either confirm or debunk.

I am primarily a PS3 user (own 360 also), and I cannot see how MS would release a feature such as 'always online' that nobody wants. MS would be killing themselves for sure.

So let's not blow the bugle just yet....I suspect MS will let publishers decide on DRM/Online persistence.

There you go ....only thinking about yourself!

...Did it not occur to you that sales could be impacted by this outrageous 'always online' requirement rumour? ..and that it could actually mean you don't get to play certain AAA games either?

If 50% of the always online/DRM detractors boycotted, then that's a 50% loss in revenue ...Poor sales equals less games!

GO figure.....

100% agreed!

I for one will just stick to PS3, since there are some awesome games still scheduled. In fact, I'm seriously contemplating on holding off on next gen for maybe a year or so to see how it all pans out.

I am still very impressed with what PS3 can offer anyways ;)

If, and especially after the flack 'Always Online' is getting, Microsoft still roll out nextbox with the always online requirement, then Microsoft truly have no place in the gaming industry. Simply for the lack of respect and ignorance shown to their loyal fan base.

...It will truly be the royal kick in the nuts!

*Whom ever disagreed with me either misunderstood my comment or is an advocate of 'always online' ...whadda schmuck!
