Yeah I agree.
8 months is essentially a port with some bonus features.
2years is more like it with a proper development cycle (reduced thanks to COD4 engine).
The game's apparent edginess with violence and gore (katanas and flamethrowers... oh my!) and what looks to be a much stronger narrative ala COD4 looks very promising. I just hope there's a Japanese campaign to play through as well (kind of like Clint Eastwood's "Flags" and "Iwo Jim...
Well I personally can't give specifics other than to say that "I imagine" (winks at green) your suspicions are right and yes the games and controller do exist.
But there are people on this site who've worked on and been aware of these titles much longer than me (only a couple of weeks) and seem to have looser NDAs.
I suggest you scroll down to a conversation I had prior to my NDA and title knowledge on page one of this thread about a month ago...
Psssttt its called Too Human. ;)
I'm imagining the disagrees you're about to get! lol
EDIT: Sadly I lacked the creativity of mind to imagine that I to would cop those lurking phantom disagrees... ;p
Yeah and Deadly Creatures looks damn cool. No game has ever let me be a motion controlled Scorpion... lol
I'll throw you a bone if you can give me a job that pays better! lol ;p
I'm keen to know what the titles are.
Scene It 2, Lips and "Ninja Blade" have all been leaked, plus there's at least three titles for the Newton that I know of (Sorry NDA all the way...).
But what are the biggies?
Forza 3 looks certain.
Cry On from Mistwalker is likely.
And Alan Wake & Halo Wars are pretty much sure bets based on the hints Shane Kim has been dropping all over the place with the amount of talking he does!

Backed by incontrevertible evidence the lead level designer, lead engineer and the majority elected Tecmo union leader join outspoken lead designer and lodge their own suits and threaten 2nd and 3rd wave class actions representing 300 employees...

Completely agree mate and well put. Bubbles!
A lot of haters seem to diss the game because they played through the sub standard campaign and then left it or they simply never tried it but saw the high review scores and called BS. The reality is that Halo 3 offline is a substandard shooter in my opinion but that it's almost an afterthought (some DLC) when you consider the online package. Those 10's were for the unparalleled leaps and bounds Bungie took in the online space, and not...
I agree but...
Have you ever tried Forge? It's unbelievable. I ignored it for like six months and then one day decided to have a go and before I knew it I had created touch footy maps/games, mario kart races and awesome paintball maps/modes to play, and was playing them with mates!
The only thing at present that is anything like it is that crazy Spore creature creator, although it is on a PC not a console.
I got no beef with Socom vs Halo 1&2 but the article and myself are specifically talking about the advances of Halo 3 for online integration, multiplayer gaming and user generated content. Which a year later, no other developer has come within reach of on consoles.
The idea that Bungie could sell its expertise as middleware ala Epic is a pretty nifty idea, although I'd prefer to see Banjo, LBP, Resistance 2, Fable 2 and Spore push the ideas further and into new directions. <...
I love this game, but I agree with the review it can be a damn sight harder than Ninja Gaiden and bloody frustrating towards the end!
Bubbles for the man with the idea for the next frontier of the mindless console wars! :p
I wonder whether you even viewed the article?!
Ignore any platform based bias on the site itself and you'd have realised Kotaku has managed to get hold of hard copies of legal documents and evidence that not only shows the disgraceful behaviour of Tecmo management but also clearly indicates willing fraud to illegally strip workers of their rights.
In your world this may not be big news, but I can assure you in mine, the gaming industry's world, this is unprecedented ...
They've got two major lawsuits backed by incontrevertible evidence and the lead designer, lead level designer, lead engineer and the majority elected Tecmo union leader who's threatening 2nd and 3rd wave class action lawsuits!
Not only have they violated workplace legislation, but there's concrete evidence of the CEO willingly committing fraud to illegally remove staff pay & conditions and then later denying such and blaming it on the beloved but dead Tecmo founder.

Do you guys read these articles? It was the same thing when Pure was listed in the Top Ten for the PS3?
The article has a humorous tilt on what will "turn you on".
For example Fable 2 has lots of whores and plenty of variety for your needs, Soul Calibre has scantily clad women with huge bouncing chests, etc...
I know there's a lot of haters. But I think Banjo 3 is in with a chance, if only thanks to MS's close ties to Bungie. And Fable 2 is doing things in the RPG space that nobody has seen before on consoles with the XBLA games integration and permanent affects of online visitors to your game world, even after they've left you.
You should! Bungie's efforts have forced developers to push the limits of online integration, user generated content and multiplayer offerings much further, particularly on consoles.
All gamers will benefit from Bungie's raising of the bar through upcoming titles such as Spore, LBP, Resistance 2, Banjo 3 and Animal Crossing. Hell even Rockstar admits such, they went multi thanks to Bungie!
You can hate Halo 3, but if you were a gamer you'd acknowledge how far ahead of its time it was in the online and user generated content spaces for consoles.
You'd also acknowledge that thanks to Bungie's efforts other developers are following suit with Resistance 2, Spore, LBP and Banjo 3 amongst many others all pushing new boundaries as a result.
Lol at the useless comparisons between GT and Forza. They are largely different beasts.
Forza has always excelled at physics, customization, user generated content, online and handling realism.
GT has always excelled at tracks, car variety, graphical prowess and audio orgies.
Forza is "Flight Simulator X" to GT's "Ace Combat". They both have a place in my heart, but Forza is for my head and GT for my hard ons! ;o
