Now that cover IS bad ass!
Bubbles for showing me. :)
Agreed Green. I actually thought MS whilst not a conference to the hardcore's liking was a very strong showing for the casual and online experiences that it was focused on.
I also think it's a sign of confidence on MS's part that they didn't feel the need to "sell" their games all that much, and that they're confident in their hardcore lineup's abilities to sell themselves.
It's clear MS are fiercely focused on expanding their audience and base beyond the h...
It's sad, the NES & N64 are some of my most treasure consoles. :(
My concern for Nintendo is that where do they go from here? When the fad dies a few years down the track, or MS or Sony improve on motion controls, much like both have the Miis with Avatars/Home, what then?
Will people buy a Wii2?
But whilst MS was "bare" and largely "sucked" for the hardcore.
AS a conference for the casuals and online entertainment, it was jam packed full of stuff.
I think Nintendo just got owned by MS in the quality of the "casual conferences". That was really awful and in a way was just arrogant sitting on laurels. Nothing truly new or exciting there. :(
I have a suspicion Sony's going to be all about the hardcore and LBP/Home. Ca...
Funny thing is I thought MS did a better job at casual yesterday! lol
Wii(Porn)
:/
Clever idea.
Although there's no way I'll have the Seriously achievement until the new year... Seriously! :/
That's some pretty ambitious art work.
I particularly like the Hollywood filter/sepia grain they've added! :)
Sorry but MGS4 SHIPPED 3 million in the first 2 weeks. Try again. :)

The best explanation was in this article that I submitted a couple of days ago (before E3) about what this site thought they'd see at E3 and why. It's amazingly accurate btw, getting 8/10 on the conference alone and even picking the Square shocker in a seperate article!

Forgive the long transcript but the explanation is worth it:

As I said earlier journalists have missed the thrust of the agreement.
Both your quotes are from blogs. Mine is from the Microsoft Press Conference from the horse's mouth (Microsoft's SVP Don Mattrick):
"So if you're an Xbox Live subscriber you can enjoy the Netflix library at NO additional cost"

It's funny how some journalists are missing this, because it makes the exclusive agreement even more newsworthy.
Anyways if you don't believe me, just watch the tape! :)

Completely agree mate and bubbles. I was just about to write something similar. Couldn't believe IGN wrote a line like! :(
I agree and I'm very disappointed that IGN has bought into this fanboy crap.
Microsoft have responded to the market and so focused on online and casuals. Square have done what they need to do, to make more money and bigger and better games.
Sony and Nintendo will do exactly the same thing... THAT'S BUSINESS!
EDIT: And a new pilotwings with motion controls would be awesome! Bubbles :)
I agree. I was shocked when I read that, they don't sound like journalists at all, much more akin to some of the types that hang round here!
And this "rip-off" arguing/whinging is getting old even after only 24hrs! It's been going on for 20yrs in the games industry, and is a founding principle of any business practice. Take the ideas of your competitors, improve and sell to the same market to steal market share. All companies do it and that's why games and gaming has co...
You guys need to check Sony's ownership. It's actually 8.6% and you can check it here http://www.square-enix.com/...
At the end of the day Sony doesnt have control of Square's day to day business, so Square made a decision in the interest of all its shareholders.

I think we should use that Avatar one in the press conference from now on! lol
BTW: The new EDGE looks much better. :)
@Chuck
Where do you live mate?
I'm in Australia and I've had a 360 for almost three years. When I got the RROD two months back, I sent if off on a Thursday and had it back the next Tuesday. Only took four working days and didn't cost me a cent! :)
EDIT: @Chuck
Wow. Sorry to hear that mate. :(
Yeah Resistance just got pwned by MAG! lol
Although I like Res 2 better thanks to the in-game footage. Twas nice! :)
