I agree. MS has certainly changed tact on the way they show their games. After the Alan Wake and Too Human lessons of E3'06 I think they've adopted a don't show too early approach.

In fact, despite criticism from some corners, I think it shows immense confidence in product for MS to get up and largely say at E3 two years in a row now "We're only showing you our exclusives for the '08('07) holiday lineup".

I'm still amazed they kept Gears 2 & Banjo 3 qui...

Agreed. The equipment is the most beautiful thing in the game. The designs and detail are amazing. As for the names? Well they vary from awesome to boring to freakin hilarious! lol

Yeah apparently they cut up to 60 minutes out of their press conference.

Leipzig and PAX will be very interesting. :)

I don't feel sorry for Dyack, but I do feel sorry for Too Human.

The game is much better than some would lead you to believe and is a refreshing experience for console gamers looking for something different.

It seems the demo and more recent previews/showings are starting to turn the tide. I just hope they have that "something in your back pocket" that Molyneux talks about to help push the game further. :)

I don't think you read either article! lol

Joystiq clearly states:

"According to the eloquently named Australian blog, XboxOZ360-gamer, BioWare bigwig RAY MUZYKA TOLD AUSTRALIAN 360 MAGAZINE that the RPG developer was committed to bringing "the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360." ;)

And how is this bad news? It's coming to the 360 (exclusive or otherwise) and the trilogy looks to be all but confirmed.

That's aw...

I think E3 can still turn things around.

What they should do is keep the journalists and gamers separate but both at E3 -

- So that it still operates as the industry convention we saw this year which whilst not exciting for gamers does work for journalists, developers and the platform holders,
- But that it seperately operates as the PR/gaming extravaganza for gamers and fans. This would also get the support of publishers who want to promote their wares.

It wasn't the blog that was inaccurate, but rather the publication they were reporting on (Australian 360) which stated:

“Speaking exclusively to 360 at EA’s European Showcase. BioWare CEO Ray Muzyka restated his company’s commitment to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360, despite having been brought up by Electronic Arts and analysts claiming it would go multiplatform.”

See here for XboxOZ's update after speaking to Bioware.

I agree Fishy... I thought ME2 was already PC/360 exclusive, albeit that was before the EA buyout.

Either way the title and picture gave me a hearty chuckle. Cheeky buggers! lol :)

Yeah silly article.

PS3 has been bundling with HDTV's that are BluRay ready for almost a year now.

As above in the description and in article's intro:

In the just released September issue of Australian 360, comes the commitment of Bioware CEO Ray Muzyka "to bring the Mass Effect trilogy exclusively to the Xbox 360." :)

EDIT: @SRuN4

I have no idea what you're talking about the sentence I've printed above is the very first thing you read after the title on the actual site! lol

And sure it's platform specific, but they don't seem t...

XboxOZ a teenager? haha

Check his bio pic on the XboxOZ site! The guy's bald and looks to be in his fifties (Sorry Oz!).

I think you're much more likely to be in your teenage years. I just can't work out if that means you're closer to 12 or 20... ;)

Okay! But it's the very first one in the description above...

Damn you can talk! lol

Anyways I'm not so fully convinced of EA's piety, but Mass Effect with sex scenes, Dead Space doing Saw-like gore, Mirror's Edge giving me motion sickness, Mercs 2 letting me blow up in game advertising and their patience with Spore are helping me forget the bitterness I have towards them for screwing over Bullfrog, Origin and Westwood (amongst many others!).

They'll have to do a lot more good before I'm wholly convinced of their changed ways.....

Don't forget Dragon Age: Origins for both PS3 and 360 sometime in the future. All I need now is a Jade Empire sequel and 2009 will be full of Bioware goodness! lol

Coming from Oz (as in Australia) I can say "Here, here! Give me Netflix goddammit & stop charging me over US$100 for games!" ;)

EDIT: @OZ below. Holy Sh!t... You just made my day with Mass Effect and Jade Empire! Wow. :)
