Agreed. Personally I hope it's not another MMO (aka KOTOR) but a new adventure series or RPG trilogy set before or after the current trilogy.
Best bit in that article is that all three in the current trilogy will be released this gen. Awesome. :)
EDIT: @Green - Now how can I argue with that. Too Human trilogy, Mass Effect trilogy, Gears trilogy, Fable trilogy and errrrr a Halo quadrilogy??? ... ;)
It's personally my favourite RPG this gen. But PS3/Wii fans shouldn't lament, looks like the Mass Effect universe will continue to expand on all platforms after the trilogy. :)
EDIT: Bubbles to Paul War for a refreshingly multiplatform attitude! :)
Enjoy mate. It's a truly awesome experience... even if the finale fails to live up to the awesomeness that precedes it.
If all I had to do was ask my 16yr old son, I would've never joined N4G in the first place!
I don't know how. But I've fallen in love with the Bioengineer, he's almost as tough as the Defender and is much faster with melee weapons. And then there's his spiders which are ridiculously powerful (EMP anybody?). Defender is a close second for me, largely for his ability to keep standing and his penchant for MK's Sub Zero like abilities.
I suspect the Berserker will be most peoples favourite though. He's so fast and fluid in combat. Great for combo building.
I don't buy this 10hr "completion time". I played the demo for 1hr and completed 5% of the game, so to do one complete playthrough is going to take me at least 100/5 * 1hr = 20hrs. Add the diverse classes, skill trees, leveling, co-op and different story endings and I'm pretty sure this will last me well into next year. :)
Play it drunk and it's a hell of a lot better! ;)
First off I'm neither... although if a position is vacant feel free to contact me (wink, wink, nudge, nudge...)!
I'm just praising the site for it's innovations over others. It's essentially taken Google, Facebook, Wikipedia and IGN and created a c*cktail of gaming goodness! (how was that? do I get the job?)
An advertisement? Yep, but so is every other piece of news labeled with a site's name.
News worthy? Yep, Jeff Gertsmann casts a significant shadow o...
Because even with a crap camera and some dodgy background textures the combat engine in this game is still the best in its genre... that and the gore! lol
Great news. :)
I've been following this site for a long while now and whilst I expected great things, the site has far exceeded my expectations.
The community features and databases are amazing and completely unprecedented in scope within gaming journalism.
Big thumbs up to Gerstmann and the Giant Bomb gang who had the cojones to pursue a new venture which has already rewritten the rule of gaming journalism in it's short life. The wiki editor and databases are phenomenal.
...
It's my most anticipated this year. I'll be one of those guys buying all the buildings in the game! lol
It's crazy, every building you buy opens up new quests. Can't wait to spend a million on the Bowerstone castle to open up those missions! :)
Now where are those XBLA titles...
I never trusted Eden Games, but nonetheless this is incredibly disappointing.
No wonder Phil Harrison doesn't want Atari doing any more single player titles! lol
"Rest assured, there are multiple machinations afoot at Bungie" (at least two titles!)
"one is so close you can feel its familiar warmth on your cheek while you sleep" (one game called "pillow" lol... or a remake of a Bungie oldie, Oni perhaps?)
"another so far off and foreign that like a faint star in deep space, you can only look to the heavens as its light speeds ever closer"(Definitely the return of Master Chief)
Just disconnect from Live, no need to pull modem out! lol
And the game is great, but the classes thing is not a glitch it was a deliberate marketing move by Silicon Knights to insert Easter Eggs.
They are built in time release capsules. The demo is set to release the Berserker on 7/25/08 and the Commando on 8/12/08. Check it out for yourself if you don't believe me.
I'm not sure about the other two though. But if you want to play as a defender or bio (pe...
Agree Green. Shame it's not the LE, But it's the best RPG on the original Xbox other than KOTOR and Fable. It's also got wicked kung fu combat! ;)
I hope this is a sign of a sequel in the pipeline...
I'm based in Australia and Team Bondi has been ramping up recruitment on LA Noire for the last six months, with resume requirements including "experience with multiple platform toolkits." Make of that what you will. ;)
Spartan Kart! :P
Miyamoto - the man who actually created the ideas, rather than Reggie or Satoru - stated:
"I don't really use the term avatar to refer to what we've done with the Miis. We created the Miis with the idea that the people you live with in your house or family, you also live together with inside the TV, and you can use those characters interchangeably in the games you play.
To see that a company like Microsoft has taken something we've done and kind of looked at it ...
The announcment was scheduled for after the Sony and Nintendo conferences. They obviously felt they did enough and so cancelled the announcement to keep it as a spare card up their sleeve for some other conference in the future... Just like they held onto the FF secret and Lips/Scene It titles from their GDC & Showcase until E3 this year really. :)
Did you play LO? 4 discs or 1 disc... either way it was awesome. :)
