@ Ark_ - Unfortunately that old "PC is better" straw man argument has nothing to do with the console gaming market, it's just a weak attempt to divert attention away from the Wii U's poor design and missing features. When it comes right down to it, the Wii U just didn't offer much in terms of technology, features, or games to be a worthwhile purchase, for the majority of the gaming community.
Why would most people buy a Wii U, when it has so little to offer for the money? Come on man, no one needs to buy the system to understand that its not a good deal, most people just skip it for that very reason.
The PS4 and XB1 are so far beyond the Wii U in terms of specs and capabilities, there just is no reason to buy a Wii U if you own one or both of the other two. It's not rocket science, and not that hard to understand.
@ RosweeSon - No, Nintendo's hardware for the last decade or more, including both handhelds and home consoles, has been very gimmicky. The DS had a fairly useless 2nd screen, the Wii had horrible waggle controls with the wiimote+nunchuk, the 3DS had (again) a fairly useless 2nd screen and the phony "3D" effect, and the Wii U had the gamepad. All of those are gimmicks, and all of those made the respective consoles worse in terms of hardware, and also made the games worse as wel...
The sad thing is, even if Nintendo drops the Wii U price to $199, it won't substantially change the fate of the Wii U, this generation. They should have done a better job of designing the system, and not gimped it to accommodate the high cost of the gamepad. Hopefully the NX will be a better designed console, but knowing Nintendo, it may just rely on yet another gimmick to sell, rather than featuring solid, feature-rich hardware. 2016 will be the make or break time for Nintendo in the h...
Not surprising, the Nintendo brand in general has been declining for years. It's a shame, they used to be a powerhouse company producing fantastic consoles and games, but those days are long gone.
What a sloppily written article, they botched the price of Borderlands Handsome Collection. Let's hope "Ben Tan" (the author of the article) fixes his mistake soon, it's very misleading.
To be fair, both Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Revenge were far better games than Paradise. Open world doesn't improve pure arcade style racing games, it makes them worse.
Unfortunately, this article seems like desperate scraping to come up with a few positive points regarding Nintendo's performance, this generation. There are far more negatives, including the poor design of the Wii U and 3DS hardware, fixation on gimmicks to set themselves apart, anemic library of games, lack of 3rd party developers, weak online infrastructure, lack of an account system (games are tied to hardware, not accounts), the list goes on and on. It is doubtful that Nintendo will s...
One that died years ago, when the fad fizzled out, yet the 360 and PS3 are both still being supported today. That pretty much tells you all you need to know about the Wii; in the end, it was nothing more than a cheap fad.
A "Little Wonder" is far from what most people would call the Wii U. More like, an underwhelming, low-spec, feature-lacking console, based on a gimmick, and with a meager library of games. Let's not try to rewrite the history of this console, in the final analysis, it was poorly-designed, and lacking in even the most basic features found in consoles in the last decade, or more. Nintendo bet once again that a gimmick tied to cheap hardware would reel people in, but unlike the Wii...
You can view the "progress report" on game's kickstarter page, but only if you're a backer of the project:

Seems like development of the game has been pretty slow.
Edit: Twitter page for the developer, Pelikan13, has no activity since May of this year:

Unfortunately, Tiger Direct is notorious for not honoring rebates, and other shady selling practices. Take a look at their resellerratings score, 1.39 out of 10, with many negative reviews:

Buy from them at your own risk, I certainly wouldn't patronize this company.
A great game for sure, but not a "system seller" for the Wii U. The game comes much too late in the Wii U's lifespan, and it doesn't change the fact that the console was not built to deliver current generation content in a competitive way.
I wouldn't mind trying Super Mario Maker, but I wouldn't buy a Wii U just for that game, and there just aren't enough other games on the console to make it worthwhile either.
The title of this article makes no sense; why is "I think" used twice? Shouldn't the author of the article on Nintendoworldreport.com have just titled it: "Things I Think About Star Fox Zero's Delay"?
760k worldwide lifetime sales (according to VGchartz) really isn't a successful game, especially for one that was so hyped before release. No amount of excuses or re-imaginings will ever change that.
If the NX bombs like the Wii U did, Nintendo will certainly be done in the gaming hardware business, regardless of what you think. Let's hope that they don't cripple it with gimmicks, like all their recent hardware, because if they do, it will be the end of new hardware products from Nintendo. Probably would be better for everyone if Nintendo just went software only, their hardware has been mediocre for over a decade.
The gamepad is a failure, and is the main reason that the Wii U itself is such a weak console. Nintendo put heavy resources into the gamepad, forcing them to scale the base console way back, and this was the primary reason the Wii U failed. It was unable to compete with current gen consoles, much less even last gen ones.
Let's hope for the NX, Nintendo ditches the gimmicky controllers like the gamepad and wiimote/nunchuk, and goes back to the basics: a solid, comfortabl...
Totally agree. This kind of article is just a Fantasy Island style re-imagining of what the Wii U really accomplished. The reality is that it was a poorly-conceived, feature-lacking, low-spec piece of hardware, based on a gimmick. The gamepad didn't make up for the weak specs and missing features in the console itself, and it never will. And no amount of fanboy fantasies will change that either.
"There is a positive side to the inevitable death of Nintendo’s latest flop, and that is the fact that the company won’t have a choice but to go in a different direction for the next console system. Nintendo has run out “get-out-of-jail-free cards.” They’re at a crossroads. On one side, the company can continue to remain a self-contained infrastructure and suffer the consequences of not adapting to today’s technology and the ever-changing platform of video games. On the other, Nintendo c...
The reason that the Wii U hasn't dropped in price, despite poor sales, is that Nintendo is very greedy. They only care about making money, not about offering competitive, feature-rich products that are worth the money.
They've proven this time and again, with cheaply made gaming hardware that is always way behind the curve compared to the competition. And they simply throw in a gimmick to try to reel people in. Any way they can cut corners and save manufacturing cost...
