Yep, too bad Mario has been so rehashed and recycled all these years, but not surprising coming from Nintendo. They lost their way a long time ago, now they're just known for gimmicks tied to cheap hardware.
@ higgins78 - Everyone knows that the Wii was a fad, it caught on fast and sold a lot of hardware, but the fad fizzled out pretty quickly. In the end, the Wii damaged Nintendo's reputation badly, and besides a few big games like Wii Sports, the attach rate was pitiful. It had tons of bad shovelware, and the console essentially died years ago, when people realized that it just wasn't worth it, and the fad fizzled out. I don't think that the fad "turned the industry on its hea...
But they haven't been "doing well" for many years, especially since the launch of the Wii U. Being "different" doesn't make up for having weak, feature-lacking hardware. It may have worked (for a while) with the Wii, but look how quickly that system died, years ago, while the PS3 and 360 still get support to this day.
Let's hope that Nintendo's next console is better designed, has solid specs, and doesn't leave out features that are i...
Bingo! Burnout 3: Takedown and Burnout Revenge were masterpieces, would love to see remaster of both of those on modern day consoles. Both were also much better than Paradise as well.
It really sounds like you're bragging about having a Wii U to play this game, which is pretty sad. Understandable though, since most gamers don't own the system, and I doubt this game will make those people buy one anyway. Enjoy anyway!
Doesn't matter to me, no offline/single player mode, no buy. I own all the previous NFS games, but will skip this one due to the forced online "feature".
Forced online is why I'm skipping this game, and I've always been a pretty big fan of NFS games. No offline SP mode, no buy, simple as that.
No, consumers don't "hate value", they just don't care for gimmicks and feature-lacking hardware, that's all. You may think that the Wii U is a great value, but the bulk of the gaming community doesn't. It really isn't that hard to understand.
100% agree! Can't stand always online or multiplayer games, so I'll skip this game as well.
Here's a better title for the article: Don't Drink Surge, it sucks. Why? Just look at the crappy ingredients:
"Carbonated Water, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Maltodextrin, Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Orange Juice Concentrate, Potassium Benzoate (TO PROTECT TASTE), Potassium Citrate, Caffine, Calcium Disodium Edta (TO PROTECT TASTE), Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Carob Bean Gum, Blue 1."
GARBAGE.
Well said by both you and novurdim. This is just another clickbait article repeating the same poorly thought out garbage about the Vita, which has a fantastic library of games available now, and more releasing on a regular basis. Simple approach for websites like this one:
Story quality? WTF
Like this website? No.
No Android version? Not everyone has Apple devices.
Very sad dude, that same old lame excuse, trying to blame 3rd party devs for Nintendo's bad decisions. You never disappoint, always offering excuses when the real blame lies with Nintendo, and Nintendo alone.
Had they wanted to be competitive, this generation, they should have put more effort into the design of the Wii U, and made it a genuinely powerful, capable system. Instead, they put most of their resources into the gamepad, and left the base console way too weak ...
The real question is, will the NX be handicapped with yet another silly gimmick, or will it be a full-featured, solidly designed console? Has Nintendo learned the lesson, that gimmicks alone aren't enough to attract gamers to their hardware? Time will tell, but it's hard to be optomistic, when all their gaming hardware for over a decade has been based on gimmicks.
Unfortunately, the awful waggle gimmick completely ruined Skyward Sword, making it one of the worst Zelda games released. No one wants to spastically wave their hands around just to play a video game.
Unfortunately the Wii U probably isn't powerful enough to emulate GameCube games, which is why none have come available on the VC.
This is a good option for people who want to try out Wii U games without wasting money on the poorly-designed, outdated console, and all the negative baggage that comes with it (region-locking, harsh anti-consumer DRM, pitiful internal storage, weak CPU/GPU, etc.). I may try out a few games when it improves a little, just to see what they're like. Not worth buying the console just for that, I have many better consoles to play anyway.
I knew immediately this would be another crappy Dell offer, better to just avoid that retailer. The gift card forces you to buy something else from them, not worth it at all.
The reason is really much more simple than anyone has mentioned. Nintendo makes a much higher profit on digital sales of a game vs. physical sales. So being greedy, they just skipped the physical release for North America. Much bigger profit for them, and they just don't care if their fans feel ignored/disrespected.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. Don't you ever get tired of running damage control for Nintendo? Seriously, it's like you're the last soldier in an army that has been obliterated, just give it up already. Nothing you say is going to change the declining fortunes of Nintendo, it's pretty much inevitable at this point.
