@deafdani - The reason I don't believe that Nintendo is capable of offering competitive gaming hardware, is quite simple: for over a decade, they just haven’t. We can always hope for a change to their past philosophy, but as time goes on, it becomes more apparent that Nintendo no longer has the resources and expertise to deliver truly competitive hardware.
As for them not wanting to "incur massive losses in hardware sales", you're missing their obvious goal:...
I am not "on a crusade to close them down", I simply don't believe people should be patronizing websites that deal with stolen or region exploited keys. Did you bother to read any of the websites I posted above? Don't you care about supporting this kind of shady activity?
"Websites reselling low-cost Russian/Asian keys from mass-bought $10 retail copies, mainly to be activated on Steam (but also for BF3 et al), are a recent trend, since gamers can in many cases get new release titles for half the normal price.
However, we've had some serious concerns about folks blindly recommending them to people forum-wide without any explanation about the risks, since there are potential serious drawbacks when they're used: needing to activate ...
Another shady cdkeys "deal" from dealspwn. It's better not to deal with these shady key websites, stick with the legitimate ones like Steam, GMG, and GOG. At least that way, the developers/publishers of these games actually get some money for their products; buying from cdkeys pretty much assures that they won't. And remember the old adage: if it sounds "too good to be true", it probably is.

Unfortunately, Nintendo's "dare to be different" really amounts to nothing more than cobbling mediocre gimmicks into their hardware to try to set themselves apart. They know they can't compete in terms of pure hardware, so they instead dream up some kind of gimmick to try to reel people in. That technique worked (for a while) with the Wii, but failed miserably for the Wii U.
Let's hope they've learned their lesson, and will make a genuinely solid, ...
While it is always good to be hopeful, you really need to temper your enthusiasm with reality. For over a decade, Nintendo has opted for substandard, feature-lacking hardware, and thrown in a gimmick to try to reel people in. They did this with the DS, Wii, 3DS, and Wii U. All of those consoles/handhelds were significantly weaker than the competition, and all ultimately had mediocre libraries of games to show for it.
The Wii U, in particular, was not built to be competit...
"New New Super Mario Bros U", Nintendo is so original with those names.
The "New 3DS" and "New 3DS XL" are a huge scam. Slightly upgraded systems, with better CPU, upgraded screens, and "c-nub" 2nd analogs, and improved 3D, with almost no games at all that specifically take advantage of those features. This was a blatant attempt by Nintendo to force their loyal fans to buy additional hardware, thereby mining their existing customer base for more money.
These features should have been in the 3DS from Day 1. The fac...

Move on folks, nothing to see here.
500gb in the PS4 and XB1 (with 1tb versions available) is far, far more than the paltry 32gb that Nintendo included in the Wii U. Trying to say that the PS4 and XB1 fall short in that area is just making excuses for Nintendo's inadequate design, and very sad.
Unfortunately, there is no way to upgrade the Wii U's memory, that is yet another area where the console falls way short. Nintendo only included a tiny 2gb of RAM, of which only 1gb is available for games. It really seems like they cut the base console specs way down, to accommodate the high cost of the gamepad.
Sad that the Wii U "Deluxe" (32gb) console can barely even hold this one single game. With only 25gb of usable storage before loading any games, Xenoblade X would take up 80% of the storage, leaving almost no remaining space.
Nintendo really didn't think through the design of the Wii U, when they set the internal storage amounts so low. And unfortunately, this design decision means that digital sales of games are much worse than they would have been, with so li...
Who cares? The point is that there is a large library of fantastic games to play, plenty to keep people busy.
Sadly, the Wii was the beginning of the end for Nintendo. It did catch on like fire and sell a lot of hardware, but spawned mostly a ton of bad shovelware, and died years before its competition (360/PS3). While the 360 and PS3 continue to get new games to this day, and both offer huge libraries of fantastic games, the Wii is 100% dead, with no new games, and an overall poor library of mediocre games.
And its funny that you failed to bring up the Wii U; I guess even the dieh...
Not going to even bother with this game, no offline/SP mode, no buy. Shame they ruined the franchise, but hopefully someone will reboot the Burnout franchise, and come up with a decent game.
"What Nintendo fans want" is killing the company, sadly. Keep up the good work.
If it's "running smoothly", why is it taking so long to release games? And why is the first announced "game" nothing more than a social app?
Burning rubber smells awful, so does this game. Pass.
"Always online" killed this game, RIP NFS franchise.
If you have a 32gb "Deluxe" Wii U, it can't even fit this game, with its updates (and that's with absolutely nothing else loaded on the system). Shame Nintendo skimped so much on Wii U internal storage, it will hurt them when it comes to digital sales of this game (and many others).
