It certainly makes sense for Nintendo to release the NX in 2016. The Wii U's game release schedule is really barren, with almost nothing coming this year; if they don't get a viable new product out ASAP, they risk becoming even less relevant in the gaming industry/community. Profits are way down, and only amiibo are keeping them afloat, and those gimmicks won't stay popular for much longer.

He really is awful. Not sure why people pay any attention to him.

Agreed. The steep PC requirements for the other VR systems are really going to hold back sales, vs. PSVR which only requires a PS4 (and a few minor accessories).

There's a demo for the game on PSN, I suggest you try it first. The game is really awful, no wonder the PS3 version sits on Metacritic with a 53 rating. The back and forth banter between the Witch and her butler alone will make your ears bleed. Just try it and see.

Wow, so you can't stand to hear a different point of view, and resort to foul language? Real classy. Down voting your website and reviews, they're trash anyway.

Don't forget Odin Sphere Leftraiser, coming out in June. Should be a fantastic game, Dragon's Crown was incredible.

Good article. The reason that Nintendo priced Mega Man Legacy Collection (digitally) at the same price as the PS4 and XB1 versions, is simply that they can't get away with ripping people off on a digital game, when the competition has already priced the same game at a fairly low level. For Nintendo, it's all about greed and maximum profits, which is why they try to set the highest possible price.

Thankfully, they couldn't get away with it this time, and will have...

Here's a good excerpt from IGN's review of the original Witch and the Hundred Knight on PS3 (5.8 review score):

"With The Witch and the Hundred Knight, developer NIS is trying to bring the nuances its strategy RPGs are known for to the action RPG genre. Unfortunately, the team doesn’t seem to have the same knack for this style of game. On the simple level of running around and clobbering bad guys, The Witch and The Hundred Knight can be fun in short bursts, but w...

I agree. I haven't yet experienced VR, but I do think that it's going to be a major advancement in gaming. As of right now, only Sony's VR is of interest to me though, and I think it has the best chance of succeeding in the future. PC requirements for the others are a big downside.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, and of course you've played it a lot longer than I have. But people really should try the demo first, to get an idea of the gameplay. The cut scenes, which are very frequent, contain mostly useless squabbling and failed attempts at humor, and they basically destroy the flow of the game. The convoluted Stat system and bizarre rules also really drag it down.

The original game, for PS3, sits with a 53 overall rating on Metacriti...

Just a warning to anyone considering this game; please download the demo and try it out before you buy. I love action/RPG games, but this game was absolutely abysmal, in my opinion. The "Witch" is constantly berating you (you are the "Hundred Night"), and is also a foul-mouthed, arrogant, obnoxious character. The gameplay is needlessly complicated, with tons of obscure stats, items, and rules. You are constantly interrupted by idiotic cut scenes, which reinforce the nasty ...

It really does. It's been out over 3 years, and Nintendo has stubbornly refused to drop the price, despite the poor sales numbers. And with the 360 and PS3 available very cheap, with much larger and better game libraries, Wii U is not an attractive deal at all. Who's going to pay $300 for a Wii U, when they can just buy a PS4 or XB1 (both with far superior hardware) for a measly $50 more? Almost no one at all.

I think it will launch this year. There have been rumors about production starting this year, and (fairly high) planned sales numbers within the coming fiscal year.

Honestly, they need to do something pretty soon; they have become mostly irrelevant this generation. If they hope to continue to compete in terms of gaming hardware, they need to move quickly to start the process of rebuilding their damaged reputation among the gaming community.

Amiibos are a cancer growing on the gaming industry, the sooner the fad dies off, the better.

Actually, it looked and played much better on the OG XBOX than on the PS2. And it is available for the 360 as a digital download, looks even better there. The PS2 version has murky graphics and doesn't run as well as the XBOX version.

This article is totally false. The Mega Man Legacy Collection is currently $29.99 for 3DS, PS4, and XB1 at many local and online retailers, including Bestbuy and Amazon:

I don't think "only £200" amounts to much of a deal, at all. That's about $280 USD, way too high for a last generation console.

3681d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

This deal is dead, nothing to see here.

Bingo. No arcade mode, minimal SP content, no way does it deserve an 8. I'd give it a 6, in its current form, it's just a throwaway multiplayer only title, and we've had more than enough of those lately.

It really is embarrassing that they couldn't even spend a few extra bucks building an ethernet port into the console. They cut so many corners on the base console, just to accommodate the gimmicky gamepad. The obvious result, was that the Wii U was unable to run current generation games well, and even struggled to match last generation consoles.
