How is the Wii U "front and centre" when it's basically a dead system? Nintendo has pulled the plug on it, they're not going to waste any more time with it. Better pick up an XB1 S asap so you'll have some good games to play while you wait, don't you think?
It's not a console, it's a handheld. Nintendo has basically exited the console business after the failure of the Wii U.
Garbage article spread across 5 pages for clicks. No, we don't need these games on mobile, they're just fine on the XB1. Super Mario Run is a desperate cash grab by a company that is in deep trouble right now, after the failure of the Wii U and end-of-life for the 3DS.
Not just digital, the physical version is $29.99 too ($23.99 with GCU). Picking up my copy today at a local BB.
Also: Forza Horizon 3 $29.99 ($23.99 GCU) and Halo 5 $19.99 ($15.99 GCU).
I'm getting a new XB1 S for Xmas, looking forward to trying out all these games!
It'll certainly be remembered, but as the worst console since the original Wii (which was itself a joke). Nintendo has been out of the running for over a decade now, they're almost completely forgotten these days.
So you finally dumped your Wii U? Great decision, it was a very poor console that completely failed to deliver even a half-decent gaming experience. I'm getting a 1tb XBox One S Battlefield 1 bundle for Christmas, looking forward to getting into the XBox One gaming ecosystem! Which XBox One bundle will you buy?
Worthless clickbait article, don't bother to give this site the clicks.
Exactly.
It wasn't just the "Wii U and marketing", the controls for the game were abysmal. They forced the awful gamepad/motion controls into the game, and didn't even allow people to just play the game with a regular controller. Basically Nintendo ruined the Star Fox franchise, it's doubtful that they will produce any sequels in the future.
Agreed. Star Fox Zero was a steaming turd, completely ruined by the awful tablet/motion controls. It seems like Nintendo didn't even play test the game, controls were a total joke. The game bombed hard, so maybe they learned something from it.
Do you understand the contradiction between "offline campaign" and a required Internet connection to play the game? Those are mutually exclusive stipulations.
How about a few periods in your giant wall of text? Smh
This is a fantastic little shmup, I've been playing it on Android, PS4, and Vita and really love it. Yes you absolutely need to grind to upgrade your ship, but the levels are very repayable and the multiple difficulty levels for each stage offer a fun, enjoyable challenge.
And if you like Sky Force Anniversary, you should definitely check out Sky Force Reloaded on Android, another fantastic shmup from idreams. I've been playing it daily on my tablet and really love ...
It really wasn't a "good system" at all. It was a very mediocre system, with poor specs and missing features, built entirely around an awkward, distracting, bulky gimmick, the gamepad. It couldn't even match games from the previous generation 360 and PS3, consoles that came out 7 years before it.
Gimmicks are not "innovation", and all Nintendo has been known for in the last decade or so has been poor gimmicks tied to mediocre hardware. The "name and marketing" were far from the Wii U's greatest problems, the hardware itself was the main issue.
Except it wasn't really even "decent". It was so poorly designed, it couldn't even match the performance of the 360 and PS3, previous generation consoles that came out 7 years before it. Nintendo bet everything on the gamepad gimmick, at the expense of the console itself, and failed to deliver a competitive product.
Unfortunately most people will look back on the Wii U as a poorly-designed, feature-lacking, low-spec console crippled by an unappealing gimmick. The Switch does look like potentially a much better system; but if Nintendo opts for cheap quality components (like they did with the 3DS), it'll fail just like the Wii U before it.
It's entirely possible. Rashid Sayed absolutely despises Sony, and is doing everything he can to smear their reputation. Fortunately he is nothing more than a sometimes annoying gnat buzzing around, easily ignored.
No, it really wasn't "great", it was actually embarrassing and cringe worthy. Jimmy Fallon's fake, childish enthusiasm was really hard to watch. And almost nothing was shown anyway, so there wasn't much to get excited about. Far from the "perfect move from Nintendo", it was just more sad and pointless.
