Burnout Revenge is one of the best arcade racers ever made, along with Burnout 3: Takedown. Can't believe that EA has completely neglected this series.

Dangerous Golf sold very poorly for the developer, and they lost a lot of money on the game (enough to make the future of company in question). Why the developer thought people wanted a game like that is beyond me, they should have tackled a Burnout style game on Day One.

While I agree with your comment about BC being a great thing, I downvoted you because of your fanboy comments about Sony. I own both the XB1 and PS4 and enjoy both of them, and really appreciate that MS has worked so hard to bring 360 games to the XB1.

"Genius" is the last word anyone would think of to describe Nintendo. They have been completely out of touch with what gamers want for many years now, and the Switch is just further evidence of that. Their main technique is to build the cheapest possible hardware, then throw in a gimmick to reel people in. Worked initially for the Wii, but once the fad fizzled out, that system completely died. Failed miserably for the Wii U, and will likely fail for the Switch.

Except their gaming hardware isn't "good", for over a decade it's been garbage.

Unfortunately 3rd party developers are skipping the Switch, just like they did with the Wii U. Which ultimately means that the Switch will fail for the same reasons.

Unfortunately this developer wasted time and resources making Dangerous Golf instead of a new Burnout game, and it really hurt them. I hope this game gets them back on track, and I am cautiously hoping that this is a decent arcade style racing game.

The guy is a complete Nintendo tool. Really embarrassing stuff.

By that time sales will be dismal, just like they were with the Wii U before it. Once the diehard Nintendo fans have bought the Switch, it's going to tank hard.

The Switch isn't hard to find anymore, I've been in several stores that had them available and passed on it. At this point it looks like it will follow the same path as the Wii U; great early sales, then poor sales for the rest of its lifespan. Like the Wii U before it, the Switch has very few 3rd party developers on board, it's just another Nintendo machine, not enough to make it succeed. Without substantial 3rd party support, the system is going to fail.

Yep, the author of the article obviously doesn't understand that. Plus Best Buy has it for $48 indefinitely, if you have Gamers Club Unlocked. But even at $48, this is a ripoff.

More solid 3rd party support for the Switch, lol.

3231d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

No, I stated a fact, the Wii U was a gimmicky piece of garbage. Built entirely around the awkward, bulky, expensive gamepad gimmick, with very poor internal specs and many missing features. Which is why it failed, obviously.

Switch sales are going to bottom out hard once the small core of diehard Nintendo fanboys have bought one, and the rest of the gaming community and industry realizes that it will have very poor 3rd party support, just like the awful Wii U before it. The system is cheap junk, with many design flaws, defects, cheap materials, and poor specs.

Unbelievably lame ad.

I'm sure you'll be having a lot more fun weathering the deep droughts over the next two years, until the Switch is quietly discontinued. But hey, gotta get that Nintendo fix, no matter what, eh?

3235d ago 2 agree3 disagreeView comment

It's the same tired excuses from every diehard Nintendo fan; wait for this game, wait for the next Nintendo Direct or conference yet nothing ever materializes to make a difference. Sad!

Too bad that resolution bump makes no difference whatsoever with the Switch's 720p screen, eh? Not a lot to be proud of with this lame port.

This is a typical ripoff pricing policy from Nintendo, they followed this policy with the Switch itself, all of its peripherals like the $80 joycons, $70 "Pro" controller, $90 plastic dock, and even the games themselves. All this company cares about is profits, and they cut corners on all their recent gaming hardware to do that (Wii, Wii U, and now the Switch). Disgusting.

Preorders were not widely available, and Nintendo has completely failed to supply enough product to deter scalpers from hoarding most of the units that hit retail. You better believe this is Nintendo's fault, and they're getting a lot of anger from fans like myself who just want one to play. Stop making excuses for Nintendo's poor decisions.
