I agree that developers should listen to what the customers want in their games, but only to a certain extent. Most of the time on the internet, when I read someone's blog or whatever in which he demands to see things in a particular game, it would be either hard (or expensive) to integrate, would obviously make the game unbalanced or simply couldn't be implemented in a good way.

actually, I would say that Quantum of Solace was a rather good game, nothing groundbreaking, but hey, it didn't look bad, had decent shooting mechanics and simply wasn't all that bad.

About the article, I actually enjoyed Army of two, quite a lot. Lair, in my opinion, wasn't as bad as some said, it was overhyped, but when you got used to the controls (or waited for the control patch), you had a pretty decent experience. The same applies to Too Human, not the game we were promised...

I think he meant the people who claim this type of gameplay has never been done before should do a little bit of research and find out it's not the first time it is made [although HR seems to perfect it]. This is not a very mainstream genre, so it's okay, but imagine if someone said something like "Woah! Command and Conquer 3 is such an amazing game, it provides [gameplay-wise] something completely unprecedented!", ignoring the fact that well, CnC3 did not provide anything new gamep...

As if! They'll probably just play on another account for what might seem like an unending 3 WoW-less days, or they'll just go and lurk around the forums.

You can take them out of WoW, but can't take WoW out of them.

Still, it's kinda lame of Blizzard to ban people because they were unable to make the encounter correctly.

Well, please enlighten me with your facts and tell me which console lasted a full 10 years on the market without having it's successor come out before the end of said 10 years. Or maybe you have some examples of game consoles thriving more than two years after the release of their back then "next generation" consoles?

When the PS2 launched, the PSOne line-up quickly dried-up, the same happened to the PS2 once the PS3 was on the market, developers, mostly first party one...

Will we still see 360 and PS3 games in 5 years? absolutely. Will the PS3 or the X360 be the flagship system for either company? Not a chance.

I find it amusing when a company (MS, Sony or Nintendo) talks about a ten year plan. Sure, when the console launches, it makes sense to tell potential customers that their product will last for 10 years and is therefor worth every single penny they're paying at launch, since it will entertain them for 10 years. Little do they say about the ...

I'll say it again, MAG works, MAG is a fun game, MAG requires team work and is not well suited for everyone. MAG might not be the best shooter out there, but it's still a very enjoyable game.

However, Zipper has been "lazy" if you will. No ladder animations (when you're on a ladder, you can't see your hands or anything), bland-looking hud, some underwhelming animations and a lack of maps are greatly hurting MAG in my opinion. These are mostly small things that Zipper co...

I have the game, and I can't understand how anyone could rate it lower than 7 or higher than 8 out of ten. Let me explain myself, the shooting works, but is nothing spectacular, the graphics are nice and clean, obviously MAG doesn't look like Uncharted 2, but it has huge environments, a somewhat good draw distance (despite the pop-ins and the shadows when sniping) and up to 256 players. The lack of maps really hurts the game, they'Re mostly well designed, although it does seem like they are n...

I believe his point is that right now, the Nexus can only be bought unlocked, while the iPhone can be bought for a lesser price when taken with a plan.

it's not meant to be your main gaming PC. They just wanted to make something very portable that can still play some decent games, and, from the looks of it, they succeeded. It's not like I'm going to carry my desktop PC everywhere I go to get my TF2 fix every now and then, now am I?

It might have a somewhat limited appeal, as netbooks are usually seen as inexpensive small sized laptops, while this one is considerably more expensive, but atleast it can play games like WoW. If the ...

About flash support, how can Apple claim it'S like having the internet in your hands if it can't even handle Flash? How can they say it's the best way ever to browse the internet, if this essential feature is left out? Would it be really that hard to get Flash support on it? And it's not like it's not powerful enough to support it, as other portable devices can handle it.

Also, in the video Apple has released, they claim there's no better way to watch movies than on the iPad and ...

Are you kidding? Is this a trolling attempt? I know it's a very subjective matter, as different people will have different tastes, and therefor, most people's top 5 online shooters will be vastly different. But now, let's see, all of your 6 games are PS3 exclusives, one could assume you're a fanboy, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Let's analyse your argument as to why MAG is the GREATEST online shooter ever, it provides team-based gameplay like no other game before? Guess someone ...

I wouldn't say for sure that optimization has its limits, although it is something I truly believe. When you look at the PSOne, which in my opinion is a great example of how the visuals can improve on one single console (they went from SNES 2D to FF9 3D), it was pretty much maxed in the 5-6 years it spent on the market (I know it lived longer than that, but once the PS2 was announced, PSOne development was slowed then halted). 512mb of memory (in the 360/ps3 case) can only do so much, texture...

a lack of advertising is something most of Sony's first party title are suffering from. But I do think that a game like MAG will be heavily affected by this. A single player game can only sell one copy, and while it will be a financial disaster, the game can still be extremely good. However, a game like MAG, which is meant to be played with 255 other players, has no single player to speak of and is powered by a system like the shadow war, needs way more active players to "stay alive"...

I'd love it, but I expect it to go the PSX way, and never make it out of Japan. But hey, since this is an add-on and not a converted console, maybe we'll be lucky this time.

don't worry, Apple doesn't want you and your 10$ to be left out, if not next week, it will be the week after, either way, they'll take that 10$ of yours with a smile. Oh, and let's not forget about my 10$ too!
