Yeah! and maybe the year after, they'll release one per month! Oh, wouldn't that be awesome? We could have like uh... Metro Station in January, Airbourne in February and...uh...Ah! Yeah! Let's have the Rolling Stones in March, Guns n Roses in April, Nickelback in May and June, these guys sold so many albums in the last 10 years, surely people will be willing to buy two games about them! etc etc etc
Why can't they (by "they", I mean both Harmonix and Neversoft) just rele...
Despite the fact that some don't like Bing, it is still, at worst, the second best search engine. I, for one prefer Google over Bing, but I do use Bing from time to time, and in my opinion, it is much better than anything else I've seen (with the exception of Google obviously).
Also, about the article, I'd simply like to state the obvious, had iTunes not worked on Windows, the iPod would have flopped. Simple as that, and Apple knew it at the time. People wouldn't have bought iBoo...
First of all, not all Spartans died on Reach despite what the writer might think, therefor, Master Chief is not the last of his kin. I'm only mentioning this because I strongly believe that when you write an article and want it to be taken seriously, you should make sure to check your facts first.
Also, since this is a prequel, it only makes sense to put the Elites back where they were in Halo:CE. Brutes are not meant to be leaders in the Covenant forces, Elites are.

I don't know how the handled this game, but please refrain yourself from comparing both Beatarator, as the PSP game was completely different, and in my opinion, largely superior to the iPhone version.
After reading his comments, I assume he was working for EA when all they did was releasing sequels after sequels. He's blaming EA for releasing Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, Spore, Dante's Inferno and ToR, which is funny considering these are pretty much the most exciting games EA has ever published.
Well, it has been said that developing a game on the UE3 was significantly easier than on the source engine, which explains why, a developer looking to save time and money by using a middleware engine, would choose the UE3 over the source. The reason the UE3 can be seen as "overused" is because Epic made an easy to work with engine and they also provide good support. While most developers focus on games, Epic focuses more on the UE3, their games are more often than not marketing too...
Well, if the game picks up and gathers a big following, it could live for a long time, making the life long subscription really worth it (it's 240$, so it's more or less 16 moths of game time if you pay it on a monthly basis), but since WoW, things haven't been so bright for new MMOs, many not reaching the million subscribers mark, while others are becoming F2P to attract some new people in the micro transaction market. Aion and LotR:Online are really the only two, subscription based, big MMO...
Still no PSOne title, sad. Atleast we have the Uno demo, which is sure to provide seconds of excitement for everyone. Well, on the bright side, the Lunar demo seems promising, and while the game ain't so great, a price drop on Steambot Chronicles might convince me to buy it afterall.
Well, I guess he'd buy it for a console, to play with more people. Just like MW2, sure, it looks better on PC and has the "custom feature" of m/k support, which is preferred by most people when it comes to FPS games. However, the X360 community, and even the PS3 one, are significantly bigger than the PC one. So, it's not unusual for some to pick the console version when the PC version doesn't offer all the features they usually expect from PC games.
While I'm still pretty sure the game will be amazing, it seems that EA (or DICE, whoever is making the decisions) has been dissing MW2 on certain things, and yet, are slowly going down the same path (but not as far).
but, what about those who like the controller more? or those who like Halo (which doesn't have an equivalent on the PS3, not that KZ2 or MAG aren't as good, but don't offer the same kind of fast paced gameplay) or Gears (many could argue that UC2 is better than Gears can ever be, but while both are TPS, both are totally different games and some will prefer one, while others will like the other one better)? People aren't "tricked" into buying the 360 (nor are they tricked into buying...
Well, after years spent on forums and gaming websites, I'd say the "migrate DC owners to the Xbox" part became reality, to a certain extent.
Well, having a marketing campaign for the game would be a good start, and when I say that, I mean a real one, with TV ads, not just some ads on a dozen gaming website like IGN. Pretty much anyone who visits these already know about the game, and for the most part, already know if they are willing to buy it or not. There's a reason games like Gears, Halo, Assassin's Creed and MW2 sell so much, they are being advertised to the general public, not just the "core" gamers.
Funny thing is, while the DotA community should be big enough to keep alive a moderately big game, it's definitely not big enough to keep two or three games alive, with DotA still going strong on Wc3, HoN making its way to PCs soon and League of Legends also targeting the same market, either one will dominate, or all will go the Demigod way. If your community "scares" away new players, you're simply making the market less attractive to developers, so really, it's your loss.
I'd say 2, 4 counting an overlap with the next xbox. I'd expect the announcement of a new console sometimes in early 2011, with a release for the holiday season. 2010 will likely be the year the graphics hit their peak on the console though, with Reach, Alan Wake and Conviction promising to display some of the finest graphics available on the platform. 2011 being more of an innovation year if you will, with Natal being at the heart of MS's plan of attack. If Natal is successful enough, MS cou...
when I first looked at the page, I didn't check the names, just noticed the one in bold and the low scores it got, and considering the headline, I thought for a second it was the scores for VC2... Then I noticed it was from nintendoeverything and they put in bold games on Nintendo's platform, looked for VC2, noticed the scores, felt much better.
Can't wait for it to get to NA!
July 2010 I believe.
Give me native 1080p first, we'll talk about quad-HD when that's done. And no, I'm not that interested in a console that can display in quad-HD if the native resolution of 99% of the games is sub-HD...
from what I read, Shift was a great game, shouldn't that be the comeback? Or am I missing something here?
It seems I didn't express myself very well, so I'll do it once more. On both N4G and the GameTrailers forums, some die hard PS3 fanboys (then again, only some) have been claiming for quite a while that almost every one has a gaming-capable PC (therefor eliminating the need to buy a 360 since a significant amount of 360 exclusives find their way on PC at some point, not all, but some), something I do not believe to be true by the way.
My comment was meant to be a small jab at the...
Well, I already have 2 (a 2000 and a PSPGo), and while after a quick look at GFaqs' list of upcoming PSP release, I thought this was going to be the PSP's worst year (yep, even worse than the first 2, which, in my opinion, were quite underwhelming, to the point that I sold my 1000 back in the days), but after seeing this list, I think this could be its best year, and probably its last aswell.
